Supporting our older neighbors starts with simply showing up. 💙💚

Follow along with Sacheena, one of Diablo Region's Client Support Associates, as she heads out into the community for her regular client check-ins. For our Client Support team, these visits are about more than checking something off a list—they’re a chance to listen, build relationships, connect clients with helpful resources, and simply make sure they’re doing okay.

It’s all part of the safety net we work to provide every day. At Meals on Wheels Diablo Region, we are committed to being a reliable source of support for our seniors—helping them stay safe, connected, and independent at home. 🏡✨

Take a peek into Crickett’s morning as she gets ready for one of her favorite parts of the week, her Monday knock from Diablo Region!

For Crickett, it’s more than a meal. It’s a familiar face, a moment to connect, and even a special treat for her beloved dog, May-May. From getting ready for her delivery to enjoying a game of dice with a friend, Crickett's morning is a reminder of just how meaningful the little moments of connection can be.

Family fun for a great cause! ⛳💙💚

On Sunday, September 13th, spend the afternoon with us at Calicraft Brewery for a Family Fun Day Fundraiser benefiting Meals on Wheels Diablo Region! Take on a special 9-hole mini golf course from Putter's Mini Golf, grab some tasty shaved ice from Kona Ice, plus enjoy face painting, check out the food trucks, grab a beer or seltzer, and make it a fun afternoon for the whole family. 🍻☀️✨

We had a blast at the annual Rossmoor Tomato Festival last weekend! 🍅☀️ Thank you to the Rossmoor Garden Club for hosting such a fun and engaging event for the community. With more than 400 Rossmoor neighbors in attendance, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect with volunteers and supporters while meeting new friends!

Our team enjoyed handing out prizes, sharing information about our programs, and spending time with the Rossmoor community. We’re grateful for our ongoing partnership with the Rossmoor Garden Club and for opportunities like this to connect with the neighbors who make such an important impact on our mission. 💙💚

Connecting with Our Community 💙💚

Contra Costa County Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston recently joined Diablo Region for a ride-along, delivering meals and spending time with older neighbors in District 5 and getting a firsthand look at how our team supports seniors in the community. From conversations at the door to sharing stories and smiles, it was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the personal connections at the heart of our work.
