Diablo Ballet is an internationally recognized professional performing dance company committed to enriching, inspiring, enlightening, and educating children and adults through the art of dance. Diablo Ballet was founded in 1993 in order to address the absence of a professional ballet company in the region. The company consists of international dancers who have performed soloist and principal roles in distinguished companies throughout the United States, Europe and South America.

🌟2026/27 Season Highlight:

In May, internationally renowned choreographer Val Caniparoli brings a beloved fairy tale to life, “Red Riding Hood”, a thrilling ballet inspired by Little Red Riding Hood. Drawing from Charles Perrault’s classic story, this new work blends charm, suspense, and timeless lessons about trust and courage. Also included is Gerald Arpino’s beautiful “Reflections”, a neoclassical, pure dance ballet complete with high lifts, a flying pace, and classic beauty!

Our February program features Julia Adam’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, a playful ballet inspired by William Shakespeare, where fairies, sprites, and young lovers get tangled in magical adventures. The program also includes George Balanchine’s “Valse Fantaisie”, which dazzles with exciting dancing set to Mikhail Glinka’s sweeping melodies; and a reprise of Paul Taylor’s “Company B”, which brings high-energy jazz and jitterbug to life with the iconic music of the Andrews Sisters!

This charming and delightful take on the classic Nutcracker tale finds Clara and her family checking into San Francisco’s glamorous Fairmont Hotel, where they encounter the world of the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Mouse King, and a magical snowfall.
