Pōkaʻi Bay Jetty Wall Repair
DOBOR has provided an update that bids have been received and are currently under evaluation. Hydraulic modeling and alternative analysis remain underway, with results expected to be shared this month. Community input opportunities are anticipated before a preferred repair option is selected.
For many in our community, the jetty wall is more than infrastructure—it affects water circulation, water quality, fishing, recreation, cultural practices, and overall access to Pōkaʻi Bay.
Pōkaʻi Bay Buoy Proposal
The Pōkaʻi Bay Buoy Proposal remains under review by DOBOR and has not yet been scheduled for a public hearing or Board agenda item.
The proposal was submitted to improve safety, protect public access, and reduce vessel conflicts within the bay. Community support remains important in moving the conversation forward.
