The Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild is a nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to helping artists and craftspeople exhibit and sell their work, promote the development of art and craft in the community, and support art and craft educational activities. Founded in 1972, the Guild sponsors juried art and craft shows open to the public, offers artists and craftspeople advice and coun

sel about virtually every aspect of creating art and craft and running a small business, provides networking and knowledge exchange opportunities with other artists and craftspeople, offers scholarships to emerging artists and craftpeople, and manages a variety of community service projects.

The Annual NVHG Art & Crafts Show at the Vienna Community Center has run for over 30 years and offers original, handmade arts and crafts, including decorative painting; fused, etched, painted, and stained glass; ceramics and pottery; woodworking; handweaving; paintings and drawings; textiles; jewelry; and other crafts. The show features 50+ local (Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.) juried artists and crafters.

The admission fee supports the NVHG scholarship program for college arts students. Children 12 and under are free. Ample free parking is available at the Vienna Community Center. The NVHG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which also supports Second Story, a Northern Virginia home for teens in crisis, and Meals on Wheels.
