Known as the “Pearl of Africa,” Uganda is a beautiful East African nation filled with stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and resilient people. Yet behind its beauty and rich culture lies deep brokenness and poverty, both physically and spiritually. Decades of political instability, corruption, disease, and violence have left lasting scars on many Ugandan communities. There is a desperate need for the love, truth, and transforming power of Christ to reach hearts and families throughout the nation.

Although Uganda is considered a majority Christian country, many people have never heard or understood the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Religious tradition, nominal Christianity, prosperity teaching, and syncretism remain widespread. In many regions, biblical truth is often mixed with ancestral worship and witchcraft. Additionally, Christians within the majority-Muslim border regions often face persecution, and the country remains very vulnerable to the influence of Islam.

Uganda also faces enormous challenges among its younger generations, and the effects of past conflict and terrorism continue to impact communities even years later. Entire generations have grown up surrounded by trauma, displacement, and loss. Millions of children live in poverty, and many are without stable access to education, healthcare, or basic necessities. Young people are often victims of exploitation, abuse, trafficking, and addiction. Yet even in the midst of so many challenges, the Lord continues to move powerfully across this country.

GlobeWorks is so grateful for the privilege of partnering with a wonderful family in Uganda that is involved in church planting, pastor training, as well as mercy ministry to refugees, orphans, and widows. We thank God for how He is using them to strengthen the local church and advance the Gospel across Easy Africa.

All glory to God for the doors He is opening and for these faithful servants laboring for the Kingdom in Uganda 🇺🇬!

We are humbled and grateful for your partnership in taking the Word to the world! Because of your generous support, sacrificial giving, and faithful prayers, many Russian speaking individuals, both in the United States and around the globe, are hearing the good news of the gospel!

Please continue to lift up our ministry partner, Aleksey Kolomiytsev, as he shepherds his flock at Word of Grace Bible Church in Battle Ground, Washington.

Pray specifically for the church's refugee ministry as they serve many Ukrainian refugees that are moving to their area. Pray that many will experience the steadfast love of God as their needs are met in tangible ways.

Lastly, pray for the church's international ministry and for the Bible Institute.

Millions of Russian-speaking people are hungry for sound biblical preaching and in desperate need of hearing in their native tongue the Truth that can transform lives. Pray that the church's broadcasting resources and social media platforms will continue to be strong instruments for the spread of the gospel. Pray that the mighty name of Jesus Christ will be proclaimed and lifted high in the Central Asian and European countries of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Praise God for the unique ways He is working around the world and for every single special ministry that GlobeWorks is privileged to be a part of! Praise God for His many mercies!

"Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart... For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake." (2 Corinthians 4:1, 5)

As the Soviet Union disintegrated during the early 1990’s, waves of Russian speaking immigrants moved to Canada and the United States Pacific-Northwest. With them they brought their faith and heritage, but they soon found that in a new land with a new culture they struggled with church unity and how to effectively pass along that faith to their children. Aleksey Kolomiytsev was identified to lead the Russian speaking community through this time of transition, and he continues to serve as senior pastor of Word of Grace Bible Church (WGBC) in Battle Ground, Washington today. They hold services in both Russian and English!

The church’s influence in the world became an early priority for WGBC. From the beginning, his sermons were recorded and distributed within the church, and they quickly found their way outside of the walls and back to their native land. Soon after, the church launched its website and began broadcasting spiritual food for hungry souls who spoke Russian around the world! In 2007, a live stream recording of the church service was transmitted for the first time, and momentum was gained as internet radio and an international online presence became instruments used by God to spread the gospel throughout the world!

Today, Russian is the primary language in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, and it is a prominent secondary language in many former Soviet Republics including Latvia, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Armenia.

GlobeWorks is humbled to partner with WGBC and pastor Aleksey as the gospel is shared throughout Central Asia! Praise God that the propaganda of the world is being replaced with the Good News of God’s grace!

Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation, is made up of more than 17,000 islands stretching across Southeast Asia. Home to over 280 million people and hundreds of ethnic groups and languages, this massive archipelago is overflowing with beauty, culture, and history. Despite its rich heritage, many Indonesians have little access to the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

Indonesia officially recognizes multiple religions (including Christianity), however significant challenges remain for believers. In some regions, Christians face discrimination, including pressure from their communities, restrictions on church construction, and opposition when openly sharing the gospel. Radical Islamic movements have also gained traction in certain parts of Indonesia, increasing hostility and persecution against Christians. Additionally, many Indonesians practice syncretism, which is a blending of Islam with animistic and traditional beliefs that have been passed down for generations.

The geographic challenges of Indonesia also make gospel outreach very difficult. Thousands of islands, remote unreached people groups, limited transportation, and language barriers have hindered the work of spreading the Good News. Even in the midst of these obstacles, doors are being opened and the mighty name of Jesus is being proclaimed.

GlobeWorks is involved in Indonesia by supporting a family that seeks to create gospel conversations through meeting practical needs. As health challenges like diabetes, hypertension, and lifestyle related illnesses have rapidly increased, our ministry partners have used wellness as a bridge for the gospel by caring for people holistically through health coaching. They also have built relationships with several Hazara Afghan refugee families and are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside them during this season of transition and adjustment.

Let's pray for Indonesia to see local believers equipped to serve their communities with both practical care and the hope of Christ! May His mighty name be lifted high across every island, village, and city of Indonesia🇮🇩!

Please join us in praying for GlobeWorks ministry partner J who recently returned from a challenging month-long mission to train and equip church planters across South Asia. This assignment took a toll on his body, and he has returned home with multiple pains and ailments. Please pray for his healing, recovery, and renewed strength to continue to run the race the Lord has called him to run.

"Thanks be to God's name, thank you as well for all the training provided up to this day. This was my very first training session, but I would say that, for me, it was the most unforgettable experience of my life. As I leave today, my heart is filled with emotion; I feel as though this should continue just as it is, and that I should keep on learning in this very way. Today, quite unexpectedly, my heart feels overwhelmed with emotion; I feel as though I want to stay right here and learn even more about God. Furthermore, the knowledge and instruction we have received over the past days...have been truly unforgettable. We have never before encountered such profound wisdom or such a unique style of teaching anywhere else; yet, you helped make it accessible to us. For this, we offer our deepest gratitude to both God and you. I feel teary right now while leaving this place. THANK YOU all for training and everything.”

Let's pause today and lift up our ministry partners and church planters who are meeting in South Asia over the next several weeks! Let's pray that they will know their adequacy is not from themselves. Instead, may they take heart and have steadfast confidence and reliance in our Risen Savior, knowing that their sufficiency and qualifications come from Him.

Thank you for your prayers and partnership with GlobeWorks and for the role YOU play in taking the Word to the world!

William Carey, the father of modern missions, arrived in present day Bangladesh in 1794. He constantly heard the talk of 330,000,000 gods and saw services without end performed in honor of the elements and deified heroes, but not one voice turned to the praise of the one true living God. In his estimate, there were at least 100 million souls prostrate before the monkey, the serpent, and other idols personifying sin. Carey knew that if the church was to be established, it would not be "by might, not by power," but by God's Spirit (Zech. 4:6)

As soon as Carey began to master the Bengali language, he began working on translating the New Testament. The first version was completed in 1797 and would progress through 8 editions, each of them with revisions and improvements, the final edition being what the Bengalis still use today.

Driving Carey was the deep conviction that the Word of God had to be available to the various peoples he was trying to reach. He was rightly convinced that the Word of God is in itself the great instrument for the conversion of unbelievers.

We thank God for the way He used William Carey to bring about the globalization of the Christian faith. We also thank God for the stalwart group of committed friends who joined him in this work. One of Carey's closest friends wrote the following: "I think that if God in His tender mercy would take me as one but a very few whose hearts He will unite as the heart of one man - since all the watchmen cannot see eye to eye - might I be but one of a little band of brothers who should do so, and who should leave behind them a proof of how much may be accomplished in consequence of the union of only a few upon earth in spreading Christianity, oh how should I rejoice and be glad."

May the same be said of us at GlobeWorks. May the Lord help us to give everything we have without reserve to the cause, not counting anything, even the clothes we wear, our own.

Even though there has been significant Christian work done in the South Asian country of Bangladesh, the Bengali people are by far the largest unreached people group in the world, numbering 240 million globally. The country itself is one of the world's poorest nations, with nearly 1/2 the population living on less that $1 USD per day. Periodic natural disasters occur on account of the high rainfall producing frequent floods, cyclones, and monsoons that cause an enormous loss of life and property. Bangladesh is also one of the world's most corrupt countries. Presently, Christians make up about 0.5% of the population, but we are working hard to change that statistic.

On July 1, 2024, GlobeWorks officially began the work in Bangladesh. Since that time, our team of indigenous church planters has grown to 12 families. In a little under 2 years, 24 churches have been started and 133 baptisms have been administered.

We praise God for the wide door for ministry that He has opened for GlobeWorks in South Asia, and we know that these blessings we have been granted would not be possible without your partnership! We are so grateful for your continued support and for joining with us in prayer for the Christian community in Bangladesh to grow mightily!

“Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound! Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him." (2 Timothy 2:8-12)

🌍Praise God that His Word is not bound!

🌎Praise God that the Good News of the Gospel is being proclaimed all over the world!

🌏Praise God for the most beautiful and powerful words of all - He is risen! He is risen indeed!!!

Happy Easter from our GlobeWorks ministry partners around the world!
