This past July, Brian Johnson, President of Doulos Partners, traveled to Thailand and Cambodia alongside our Field Partner, The Timothy Initiative, as part of Doulos’ ongoing field diligence and investment stewardship.

Throughout the week, Brian saw firsthand the ministry outcomes behind these investments—from Bible distribution and baptisms to house churches where believers are worshipping and growing together. He spent time with indigenous leaders, heard their stories, asked important questions about progress and accountability, and gained firsthand insight into how the ministry is being carried out on the ground there.

This is Doulos investment stewardship in action. We carefully evaluate where and through whom Kingdom capital is deployed, build deep relationships with trusted Field Partners, and stay engaged from investment through results. We go to the field, ask questions, evaluate outcomes, and verify what can be verified—stewarding every investment with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

What Brian saw firsthand in Thailand and Cambodia affirmed the strength of The Timothy Initiative’s ministry in the region, the faithfulness of the indigenous leaders carrying it forward, and the Gospel impact taking place through these investments.

A year ago, nearly 98% of all churches in this Central Asian country were located in the capital city. Beyond it, there was almost nothing. Vast regions, major cities, and entire communities with little to no Gospel presence. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱.

Over the past year, our ministry partner New Generations expanded from one location to ten. The number of leaders has grown fivefold. Six sports clubs have launched, giving hundreds of teenagers a place to gather and hear Scripture two to three times a week. Thirteen Discovery Bible Study groups have begun. Twenty people have been baptized.

Two families moved to one of the least reached cities in the country, with almost no existing Christian presence, and the first house church there has already started meeting. In just a few months, more than 300 people from another faith background have heard the Gospel. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆.

Everything we invest in at Doulos Partners rests on this truth. When a house church takes root in a city with no previous Christian presence, or a new believer naturally begins making disciples of others, we see evidence of God at work—building His Church in ways we could never orchestrate on our own.

𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳, 𝘉𝘪𝘨𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦

Robin was born into a Buddhist family. He went through a very difficult period in his life, struggling with severe depression and attempting su***de several times. His condition became critical, and he was in great emotional and spiritual distress.

During this difficult time, one of our leaders visited him, prayed with him, and shared the hope and love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Following the prayer, Robin experienced a deep sense of relief and peace. He began to place his trust in God and gradually opened his heart to the Lord.

Robin has now accepted Jesus as his Savior and regularly gathers with other believers. We are thankful to God for the work He is doing in Robin's life and for the healing and restoration taking place.

As Robin begins sharing his testimony with others, pray for many to find the same peace that Robin has found and to become disciples of Jesus.

What does it take to make Scripture accessible in the heart language of a Deaf community?

Join Doulos Partners President Brian Johnson and DOOR International CEO Rob Myers inside the Kenyan Sign Language Bible Translation Center for a behind-the-scenes look at the extraordinary work of translating, filming, editing, and producing Scripture in Kenyan Sign Language.

Every step serves a greater purpose: removing barriers to the Gospel and giving Deaf communities access to God’s Word in the language they know and understand best.

As a senior member of the Doulos Leadership Team, this position will oversee the Investment Strategy Department and provide strategic direction across the full lifecycle of Doulos’ global Field investments.

The Vice President of Investment Strategy will lead the evaluation and due diligence of proposed Field Partner projects, oversee approved investments, establish strong reporting and accountability standards, participate in international field verification, monitoring, and audits, and build scalable systems and processes to support Doulos’ growing Field work. The role will also advise the President on Field investments, risks, opportunities, and organizational priorities.

We are seeking an experienced leader who combines strong financial and business acumen, project-management and systems-building ability, sound judgment, and strong relational and cross-cultural communication with a deep commitment to Doulos Partners' mission.

This is a full-time, Birmingham-based position. Relocation to the Birmingham area is required for candidates who do not currently live locally. Domestic and international travel is required.

In June, Brian Johnson, President of Doulos Partners, traveled to Kenya for a vision and vetting trip with two of our strategic partners: New Generations and DOOR International.

With New Generations, Brian spent time in the field alongside indigenous leaders, heard firsthand ministry updates, shared the Gospel, observed disciple-making work in local communities, and participated in worship alongside local believers. This kind of presence matters. As stewards of the investments God’s people have entrusted to Doulos, our relationships, reputation, and accountability are strengthened when we are present where those investments are at work.

Alongside DOOR International, Brian visited the Kenyan Sign Language Bible Translation Center with CEO Rob Myers. He watched the translation process in real time, from planning and filming to editing and final production, and met the indigenous leaders carrying out this highly specialized ministry. Seeing what it takes to put God's Word into the hands of Deaf communities in their heart language was a powerful reminder of why this work matters.
