Raise the Roof Darke County Fair Covered Horse Arena Fundraiser

What could be more fun than Annie Oakley, Horses, and a Cowboy Versatility challenge including running and gunning with balloon poppers?

We will be having Cowboy Mounted Shooting and a Cowboy/Cowgirl Versatility challenge at Annie Oakley Days.

Come out and watch the fun, we'll be selling cooler raffle tickets and a good chunk of the entries and fees from the day will be going to Raise the Roof!

Tentative Schedule:
Friday Night Starting at 7pm: 2 Pistol stages, 2 Shotgun Stages and 2 Rifle Stages
Saturday: Watch the cowboys and cowgirls in the parade and then starting at 1:30 PM we will have Ranch Horse Obstacles, Pleasure and a speed class followed by 2 more stages of pistol shooting!
Sunday: Starting at 9am we will have 3 stages of pistols.

The Keller Family Memorial has been the largest contributor to our fundraising in the last 12 months.

Hello All! We've been a little quiet lately as we've been hard at work behind the scenes.
We've got a few major updates:
- The Memorial Donations on behalf of our beloved Christoph Keller have reached $26,600!! What a tremendous tribute to Christoph
- Our current total raised is $74,145!!! Well done RTRers!
- We begin meeting with builders this week to get updated quotes for the project

Upcoming events(more details will follow):
- July 5th - Kids Activities at the Darke County Fireworks
- July 24-26th: Annie Oakley Days Cowboy Mounted Shooting and Exttreme Cowboy Event
- July 28th: Raise the Roof Summer Pool Party - 6-8 pm at the Greenville Pool
- 2026 Summer Cooler Raffle! Kicking off at the 4th of July Event

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Raise the Roof will be doing a small fundraiser at the fairgrounds prior to the fireworks display on July 5th. We could use a handful of helpers from approximately 4:30 to 8:00 that day. Please comment below if you are willing to help. Thanks!!

Shout out to Madison Werner for all her work on the Hump Day Barrels Series! Their first show of the season was a success and resulted in $1515 raised for the covered arena fund! If you are looking for a great barrel series that supports the cause, be sure to check it out! Next show is June 24th!

We get a fair number of questions on where the arena funds are being held and what will be done with them.

Please see the attached article from Raise the Roof Committee member Tiffany Meckes Pope .

These funds are to be earmarked and held in an entirely separate account only to used for the arena.

We will continue to track, share and update you all on the money raised and account balances. We are glad that the board took this measure to be sure your hard earned dollars are going to where you designate them.

We will be launching a broader donation campaign this summer when we have the next round of bids together and renderings of the buildings.

"In other business, the board discussed the account holding funds for the equine covered arena project. The account will be renamed and designated so the funds may only be able to be used for the covered arena and capital improvements to the equine complex.". Link to the full article is below.

Dear Taco loving supporters, thank you for coming out to our event at Miller Flowers. We raised $2,246 one taco, drink and baked good at a time! Thank you!!!

What a beautiful day for flowers and tacos! Thank you to Miller Flowers, we're still recuperating so we'll give you the update when we come out of our taco haze but in the meantime....
