Our world plowing competitors traveled to the Czech Republic this year for the 2025 World Plowing Contest! Kevin Albrecht finished with a career-best 5th overall in Reversible. Joel Wagner came in with 24th overall in Conventional.

Competitors tried their hardest to adapt to very dry, chunky soil conditions early in practice…and then it rained. And then soil conditions became quite nice for the contest.

Each year at the National Plowing Contest members vote for recipients of the Women’s Spirit award and the Men’s Sportsmanship award. Recipients exemplify outstanding service to the USAPO, sportsmanship toward competitors, and advancing the art of plowing. This year’s recipient of the Women’s Spirit award was Linda Rhoades and the recipient of the Men’s Sportsmanship award was Mike Rhoades!

Congratulations to the winners of the Small Plow Class at the 2025 National Plowing Contest held near Ansonia, Ohio on August 8-9! The winner of this class has the opportunity to represent the USA at the 2026 World Ploughing Contest in the Croatia! The winnners:

1st: Gene Gruber - Minnesota
2nd: Hailey Gruber - South Dakota
3rd: Ray Elsberry - Iowa

We were excited to have some Canadian guests plow with us! Brian Davenport and Barry DeGeer both from Ontario came down to plow with us in our Small Plow class.
