At Upstate Caring Partners we love to help make dreams come true.
That’s how our Tradewinds Prom and adult Fashion Show feel for many of the people we support and their families - a dream come true. Our staff work hard to make these events accessible for all so everyone can enjoy a worry-free evening.
Dozens of Tradewinds Education Center students and their families enjoyed a Wicked good evening of celebration, food and music. They walked the red carpet in their finery, followed a yellow brick road to discover sweet treats, posed for photos at the Emerald City, danced under the sparkling lights of a disco ball and took home memories that will last a lifetime.
The 2nd Annual Fashion Show at The Root Farm brought every bit as much joy and high energy as last year’s inaugural event. Adult models from UCP, Sitrin Health Care Center and The Arc, Oneida-Lewis took turns showing off their spring finery. Olney's Flowers of Rome generously contributed many of the live flowers that decorated the room. Our staff contributed dozens of hours to decorating, rehearsing with the models, and styling hair and applying makeup to add some sparkle and glamor for those who wanted it. Baked goods came from Chef's Express, a division of the ARC Oneida Lewis. Runway music was supplied by our own IT staff.
Sometimes the people we support need a little extra help to look their best for events such as these. Your donations to the UCP Foundation can provide a special dress, fine shirt, dress pants, or new shoes to give a young person a boost of confidence and make them feel like a prince or princess for a night like this.
