Help us out, pick up a shake 🧋, keep someone warm!! It’s a win-win. Thanks Ancient Shakes for participating once again with collecting coats for our coat drives.

Help us Share the Warmth this year by donating your new or gently used winter essentials. Were teaming up with Rescue Mission of Utica to distribute any and all winter clothing items. Along with their community service center, we will have boxes available at our location, 60 Oriskany Blvd, Whitesboro NY 13492 for your convenience. We can use:

> Coats
> Sweaters
> Scarves
> Gloves
> Warm Knit Hats
> Very Gently Used Boots
> NEW ONLY Socks
> Jackets
> Winter Ear Muffs Etc.

We will be collecting until Monday, November 2nd, 2026. We appreciate your generosity!

A huge THANK YOU to First Source Federal Credit Union for organizing a hygiene drive to benefit the Rescue Mission of Utica!

These much-needed supplies will go directly to our Drop-In Center and Community Services clients, providing essential hygiene products that are used every day and make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

We are grateful for First Source’s generosity, partnership, and commitment to supporting our community. Thank you for helping us meet essential needs and serve our neighbors with dignity and compassion!

We were so blessed to welcome Center for Leadership Excellence at MVCC class of 2027 to assist throughout our campus last week. We had a few different groups of about 13 people each volunteering at different sites. One group helped at our Administration Building assisting with assembling toiletry bags for our residents for Christmas, another helped with clean up and beautification of our 1013 West St. campus in preparation for a large event the next day, and lastly the third group assisted with clothing sorting, sizing and colorizing and assessing our housewares room at our Thread of Life Thrift Store. We are glad to host this group and boy did they come ready to work!! There was no stopping them and they can come back any time they wish 😉 . What a great program and a wonderful opportunity.

All proceeds stay in our community to help those that need it most. Check out Thread of Life Thrift Store!

So many exciting things are happening at Thread of Life!

We are now accepting fall and winter clothing, coats, and boots in new and gently used condition. The nights are getting cold 🥶 in Central New York and we want to make sure that we have warm coats at affordable prices for our community.

We are also open extra days! Our new store hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 9 AM-4 PM. Thanks to you all we are growing!!
We rearranged the store and boy does it look great!! 🤩🥳 We received so many compliments over the weekend.

We have also come out of the dark ages and now have a POS system for more efficient checkout. Be sure to join our loyalty rewards program to keep up with all the latest news and deals.

If you have never been to Thread of Life, or have not been lately, now is the time to see what you're missing. As always, we are so grateful for our loyal and consistent customers. Please be sure to like, follow, and share all our posts.

A big thank you to the Rome Daily Sentinel and reporter Alexis Manore for covering Thursday's Resource Rally! 📰

Nearly 400 local families went home with boxes of food, personal care essentials, school supplies, and more — made possible by an incredible partnership between Feed the Children, Price Rite Marketplace, and our team, plus volunteers who came from across New York and beyond.
