Shalom Community Impact Center

This week, we continued serving families by caring for their children through our Summer Program.

Students enjoyed reading, writing, math, exciting field trips, story time at Barrett Boesen Park, a fun visit to the Children’s Museum, and learning about social media safety.

Shalom Community Impact Center continues to support families by providing summer programs for students. While families are able to continue working, we are honored to serve and care for their children throughout the summer.

Summer School is going great! Students are growing in reading, writing, and math while enjoying field trips and swimming. They are learning, growing, and having a wonderful summer.

Week one of the Shalom Summer Program has gone very well, and we are grateful for a strong start. This program is designed to keep students academically engaged throughout the summer while also creating opportunities to build meaningful friendships and grow together. Along with learning, students are developing digital skills and gaining important knowledge about online safety and responsible social media use. They are also enjoying fun and healthy activities like sports and swimming. We are thankful to all our volunteers and the entire Shalom Community Impact Center (SCIC) staff for their dedication and commitment to serving families and investing in the next generation. Together, we are helping shape confident, equipped, and connected young leaders for the future.

Yesterday, Shalom Community Impact Center celebrated the last day of our After-School Program with joy and gratitude. Throughout the year, we supported students through reading, math, homework help, and social skill development. We are proud of the growth and progress our students made this year.

A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers, drivers, staff, and families for your dedication and support. Your service made a difference in the lives of our students every day. Congratulations to all our students for their hard work and achievements!

As Shalom Community Impact Center prepares to begin our Summer Program on June 15th, we are still looking for volunteers to join us in serving and supporting our community. Thank you for being part of this mission!

We are pleased to share with our community that Shalom Preschool has received another Certificate of Quality, IQ4K, from the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. This recognition highlights our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality early childhood care and education. We are grateful to our dedicated teachers whose hard work and excellence continue to make this achievement possible while serving and nurturing young learners in our community.
