Shalom Preschool Weekly Highlights!

Our 3-year-olds had fun learning A is for Apple! They enjoyed stories, apple painting, stained-glass apple art, classroom routines, sharing, and learning through play. We also celebrated our first birthday together!

Our 4 & 5-year-olds continued learning letters and numbers while building new skills through fun and engaging activities.

🚒 We were also excited to welcome the Urbandale Fire Department, who visited and taught our students about fire safety!

What a fun week of learning, growing, and making memories! ❤️

A huge thank you to Prairie Meadows Casino, Racetrack & Hotel and Polk County, Iowa, for awarding us $10,000 to support our English classes and help remove barriers caused by language! 🎉

We are incredibly grateful for this investment in our community and excited about this new partnership. This support will help us continue empowering immigrant and refugee families through language, education, and opportunity.

Thank you for believing in this work, investing in our community, and helping us grow! 🙌

Together, we are building a stronger and more connected community.

Shalom Community Impact Center continues to support families by providing summer programs for students. While families are able to continue working, we are honored to serve and care for their children throughout the summer.

Summer School is going great! Students are growing in reading, writing, and math while enjoying field trips and swimming. They are learning, growing, and having a wonderful summer.
