We had a very successful Microchip event in Adel with Blue Kindness. Several dogs were microchipped and registered with the City of Adel Police. Adel is one of the locations of the OMD Microchip Scanning Stations. All of this is in an effort to get lost pets back to their people ASAP while reducing the resources used by cities and animal rescue organizations. Lambo Update!❤️

This young man from our friends at Oh My Dog Rescue in Des Moines underwent surgery on April 28th through Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids for a severe case of brachycephalic syndrome.

Dr. Chad Spah at Blue Pearl Des Moines performed several procedures to open up Lambo’s airways through excessive tissue removal in his pharynx and widening his nostrils. So many brachycephalic breeds can benefit from a procedure like this, making them much more comfortable and lessening the chances of tracheal collapse and respiratory failure.

Lambo is still healing and underwent a post surgical recheck today with Dr. Spah! He is doing great! We thank everyone who assisted us for the donation match for the cost of his surgery! Happy little Lambo is pictured here with Dr. Spah this morning!🐾
