This Giving Tuesday, we want to continue that thoughtful investment in the future of the U.S. Pork Industry. We ask that you make the National Pork Industry Foundation a part of your giving to support our mission of fostering the educational and networking pursuits of youth interested in pursuing careers in swine.

This Giving Tuesday, we ask you to consider the National Pork Industry Foundation in your end-of-year contributions for a worthy cause: protecting our industry's future and emerging leaders' development. Your donations are tax-deductible and will support students who seek to positively impact the industry.

The National Pork Industry Foundation is a 501(c)3, established in 1984 to promote swine agricultural literacy, sound science, and beneficial educational activities to secure our industry's future. Since its inception, we have positively influenced the lives of numerous individuals seeking to advance their knowledge of the pork industry through the Lois Britt Memorial Scholarship, the College Aggies Online Scholarship, and the Neil Dierks Scholarship. Recipients of these scholarships have used them as a catalyst to devote their professional lives to serving the industry that has believed in their future, with nearly 80% finding careers in swine agriculture and adjacent fields.

The National Pork Industry Foundation has stood with pork since the foundation’s inception, boosting opportunities for up-and-coming leaders, focusing on education, and building relationships that hold meaning and value. Many have seen the benefit of our programming either directly or indirectly, as many of our scholarship awardees continue to positively affect the industry, researching, educating, and advocating for pork. In the coming years, we want to do more! We want to revitalize our programming, renew our position, showcase all the prospects pork can bring, and extend our reach into the communities where our greatest assets live and work every day.

There is no denying that the industry has faced incredible challenges the past few years, which is why foundations like ours are so integral for the future. But we cannot do it alone. The foundation relies on outside funding and the generosity of the many people who believe in our mission to promote all aspects of the pork industry, engage in research projects, and provide scholarships and support for any projects that promote the pork industry and improve health, safety, education, and access to pork. If you have seen the benefit of what the foundation can do to enhance the educational success of our young people, or if you believe in our mission and want to see us do more, I encourage you to contribute today.

As a 501c(3), your contributions are tax-deductible, and we will send you a receipt to keep for your records. We hope to count you as an individual or representative of a corporation or association whose passion for the industry tirelessly supports value-added programming that positively affects our future. Your donation can make a real difference in pork’s future!
