Share your ratings of the proposed Urbandale flag designs and help us choose!

Take the survey and share your feedback on Urbandale's flag design options! This feedback will play a crucial role in determining the flag that will ultimately represent Urbandale for generations to come. After a thorough review and selection process, the Flag Design Committee is excited to present five possible designs to the community for review and rating. These five flags represent the culmination of months of collaboration and creativity from students, residents, historians, and design experts. Each design embodies the rich history, values, and aspirations of the Urbandale community. Over 430 flag design submissions were received between October 2023 and January 2024. A committee of Urbandale residents, the Mayor, a Councilmember, and staff helped guide the project process. The survey period will close at noon on Monday, April 22, 2024. The new flag will be unveiled at the Mayor's State of the City Address on Thursday, June 27, 2024. www.Urbandale.org/flag

Iowa Watercolor Society Miniature Exhibition, in the gallery April 23 – June 3, 2023. However, the hallway is being painted this week and the artwork is currently DOWN. Expect it to be back up by early next week. Thank you for your patience while we improve the gallery space!

Photo is Find Your Happy Place, by Deb Shoning in the gallery now as part of the Des Moines Camera Club Exhibit themed ‘Bubble of Life, in Iowa’. The images displayed were taken by current club members. The photographs represent the Midwestern Ecosystem consisting of remnant patches of prairie and plains and the plant and animals thereof, thousands of acres of corn, beans, and pasture as far as the eye and camera can see from sunrise to sunset, from planting to harvest and the plants and animals hiding, thriving and using this great ecosystem.
