What an incredible day we had Sunday at The Gardens at Jefferson! We were thrilled to partner with The Gardens of Jefferson and Bill McCarty to host a fun-filled event for residents, families, friends, and members of the community.

The smiles and laughter said it all as everyone enjoyed train rides, carriage rides, and even rides on the dolphin! The Greene County Band was great and the food truck delicious.

It was wonderful to see so many people come together, make memories, and enjoy a beautiful day filled with fun and laughter.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so special. We loved seeing the community come together!

We were honored to welcome Congressman Zach Nunn for a visit at Addington Place of Des Moines. It was a great opportunity to showcase the beautiful community our residents call home and discuss the vital role assisted living plays in supporting seniors across Iowa.

Thank you, Congressman Nunn, for taking the time to learn more about our industry, meet with community leaders, and see firsthand how assisted living provides independence, dignity, and quality of life for older adults. We appreciate your interest in the issues impacting seniors and the providers who serve them every day.

A few of our IALA Board Members had the opportunity to attend hashtag in Nashville last week! It was a great experience connecting with industry leaders, collaborating with State Partners, and learning new ideas and strategies to better serve seniors and strengthen assisted living communities across Iowa. We were able to attend one of our member's session talking about resident takeover. Dani Merlino, and Michael Guinane (Emery Place Assisted Living and Memory Care) did a great job. We loved their resident's story about her experience moving to assisted living.
We appreciate the opportunity to represent IALA, bring back valuable insights, and continue advocating for quality senior care.
