The Lake County Bar Foundation is proud to support Coalition Legal in their mission to expand access to stable employment and housing for individuals whose past criminal records present barriers to opportunity.

Coalition Legal provides free legal advice to determine whether a record is eligible to be sealed or expunged and assists clients through the court process. Their work helps people take advantage of a 2017 Illinois law that significantly broadened the types of records eligible for this relief.

By removing barriers created by past records, Coalition Legal helps open the door to a fresh start.
