The Autism Hero Project is accepting applications for its 2027 Medical Insurance Grant until Oct. 16.
The grant helps families of children with autism cover their medical insurance premiums.
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must:
- Be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by a qualified medical professional
- Reside in Illinois or Florida (proof of residency is required)
- Seek applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for a minimum of 12 hours per week
Low-income and/or families with multiple dependents on the autism spectrum will receive priority.
Applications are submitted online and available in English and Spanish.
The program will notify grant recipients by Dec. 7.
