Archdiocese of Chicago Refuses to Allow Rev. Doctor Michael L. Pfleger

To Return to His Ministry

St. Sabina Community is Done Standing by

Chicago – Families will unite armed with peace and prayer in front of Holy Name Cathedral for the return of their beloved Father Michael Pfleger to St. Sabina Church.

The Faith Community is done standing idly by while senior Pastor Michael Pfleger’s dynamic leadership, discipleship and ministry is being destroyed by repeated and unfounded abuse allegations.

On Monday August 3rd, the St Sabina leadership met with the Chicago Archdiocese’s Bishop Bartosik and Vicar of Priests Rev. Jakubik after numerous emails were sent by the congregation requesting a meeting to hear from someone/anyone about the fate of St. Sabina’s Senior Pastor.

The congregation was told that Pastor Pfleger’s investigation and fact-finding had concluded days earlier with, again, unfounded results. The congregation was told that they must remain waiting.

Felicia Chase, Chair of Saint Sabina Family Parish Council, said, “Pastor Pfleger has taught us that discipleship will cost, and let it be known we are willing to pay the cost. We demand that Pastor Pfleger be reinstated immediately and his name be cleared of all unfounded allegations and accusations.”

Brother Enoch Muhammad of the Hip Hop Detoxx said, “Brother Pastor Michael Pfleger has stood for the poor, the voiceless, the oppressed and highly stressed masses of humanity here in Chicago, all over the county, all over the world. We are standing with him today against an injustice again against a man of God.”

Nilsa Lopez, a member of Saint Sabina Church, said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do! Luke 23:24.”

Rev. Doctor Michael L. Pfleger has been the senior Pastor for 45 years, he has served the families of Saint Sabina Church since 1981.

Pastor Julie Contreras of United Giving Hope said, “Father Pfleger has created an army of Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Catholic church. Today the Archdiocese of Chicago under Cardinal Cupich are like the Pharisees and God will hold them accountable. WE STAND WITH FATHER PFLEGER A SERVER OF THE TRUTH & LIBERATION OF ALL GOD’S PEOPLE.”

Joseph Saunders, a member of Saint Sabina Church said, “Three allegations/accusations all unfounded, proven to be false and still Father Mike gets no justice! The Faith Community of Saint Sabina are fed up & will not tolerate this injustice from the archdiocese!”

The St. Sabina Community, Clergy for all denominations, invite all to join them in prayer in front of Holy Name Cathedral with one message: WE STAND WITH FATHER MIKE! Return Father Pfleger to St. Sabina Church IMMEDIATELY.
