We are dedicated to continuing the legacy of Millard Fuller, the founder of
Habitat for Humanity, and the Fuller Center for Housing. For 40 years, Millard
Fuller served as an inspiration leader, for with Habitat from 1976 – 2005, then
with Fuller Center in 2005. The Fuller Center builds and repairs homes across
the country and the world, partnering with families for a HAND UP, not a
handout.

We are an ecumenical Christian movement that welcomes ANYONE
who wants to join us in eliminating poverty housing. HERO PROJECT LAKE COUNTY, Fuller Center's newest Illinois affiliate,
distinguishes itself by focusing on Housing, as well as Wellness, and Working
Families. Our hope is to link veterans and underserved men and women with
the resources to ensure long-term sustainability for people, families, and
communities. Our purpose is to “give people a hand-up, not a hand out”,
so that they have an active role in their own transformation. We do this by activating the hero that lies within…
