At Wanted Alive, we believe that lasting change begins with education.
In underserved communities in Kenya, we are working directly with youth, women, and families to bring education where opportunity has often been limited—not only academic education, but education that strengthens families, builds character, encourages personal responsibility, and cultivates a culture that recognizes the value of **human life at every stage**.
Because when you educate one person, you can affect far more than one life.
Research continues to show the extraordinary power of education. The World Bank estimates that **each additional year of schooling increases a person’s future earnings by approximately 10% on average.** Education is also strongly connected with greater employment opportunities, reduced poverty, and stronger communities.
But the impact reaches beyond income.
A young person who learns to think carefully about choices can become a responsible mother or father.
A mother who receives knowledge and support can change the direction of her children’s lives.
A young man who learns responsibility, self-discipline, and the importance of fatherhood can help break a cycle of abandonment.
A child who discovers that his or her life has value can grow up believing that the lives of others have value too.
**Education does not simply change circumstances. It can change the trajectory of generations.**
That is what we are working toward in Kenya: helping families move from crisis toward stability, from dependency toward self-sufficiency, and from hopelessness toward a future filled with purpose.
And we want to expand this work here in the United States as well.
We are developing educational programs that teach young people about the value of life, healthy choices, responsibility, relationships, family, and the decisions that shape their futures.
But meaningful work requires people willing to stand behind it.
