We know afterschool programs are fun, but did you know they also keep students in their school-day seats? We found that in the 25/26 school year, a Tulsa student attending the average 30 hours of afterschool programming a year attends nearly 6 more days of school than their peers. High-quality enrichment is a proven, vital approach to reducing chronic absenteeism!

Did you know that out-of-school time (OST) is about more than just finding a safe place after the school-day bell rings? It is a world of opportunity! During the 2025/2026 school year, Tulsa’s Integrated Data System for Expanded Learning (TIDEL) tracked over 12,000 unique youth participating in enrichment programs.
