Last week, MBK Tulsa trained park teams on trust-building, de-escalation, and conflict mediation to prepare for summer.

Safe spaces keep young men active, connected, and engaged.

This year we saw the first co-ed FLEX + GLOW Summit, bringing together young leaders from all walks of life.

In partnership with Champs MALE Mentoring Program and Women Empowering Nations, this year’s summit created space for students to build leadership skills, connect across networks, and learn from others who are walking similar paths.

These moments help young people see what leadership looks like and where it can take them.

MBK Youth All Stars Graduation.

Representing the largest MBK YAS cohort yet, these young men have spent the year showing up, building relationships, and pushing themselves to grow as leaders. From weekly sessions to capstone projects, they’ve put in the work.

We are so proud of this group and are happy to celebrate them in style.

Capstone Day is here.

Today, our MBK Youth All Stars will present the ideas they’ve been building all year to partners across Tulsa. These projects are rooted in their experiences and focused on strengthening how systems show up for young men of color.

We’re also looking back at last year’s presentations and the impact those ideas continue to have.

Good luck to this year’s cohort. We’re ready to hear what you’ve been working on. ⭐

Meet Brennan 👋🏽

Brennan is a sophomore at Crossover Preparatory Academy who is focused on growing his leadership skills and building a path toward long term success. He joined MBK Youth All Stars to gain a head start on becoming a leader and to better understand how to navigate future opportunities.

He brings thoughtfulness into how he sees his community and the role he can play in it. Brennan is motivated by creating access and support for others, from investing in Black owned businesses to making sure schools and families have the resources they need.

Through MBK Youth All Stars, Brennan is continuing to build his leadership and thinking about how to create impact that reaches beyond himself.

MBK Sports took a trip to the University of Arkansas.

For many of our young men, this was a chance to step onto a college campus, ask questions, and see what’s possible after high school. Moments like this help make the future real and give students the space to explore their options.

This is part of the work making sure every student has a plan and the support to follow it. 🎓
