Fire Station #17, 1351 North Sheridan Road, was built 1947. The station was designed by Hanton and Wilson who also designed the similar Fire Station #15 on Admiral. A remodel in 1968, designed by Russell L. Magee, enclosed the north end to create a second bay. Considered in the Deco Moderne style.

The Public Service of Oklahoma Building, 600 South Main Street, was designed by Arthur M. Atkinson and Joseph R. Koberling Jr. They built 48 second floor flood lamps sending vertical colored shafts up to the roof. There another 78 lights hidden in ornamental cornices created a golden crown. The torch-shaped light fixtures have the Art Deco designs of chevrons with step-backed geometrical patterns.
