💛 Meet Simon, a handsome 1–2-year-old Shar Pei boy with a super-soft, fluffy coat and a heart full of love! This 50-pound bundle of joy seems pretty happy just to be alive and even happier when he gets to be with YOU! 🥰
Simon found himself in a Southern California shelter for reasons unknown, but he’s ready to leave his past behind and start his next chapter with a family of his very own. ❤️ He did well with kennel mates and in playgroups, and he’s currently having a blast running around with his foster sister dog!
✨ A few things to love about Simon:
🐶 Loving, fun, and full of personality
💕 Loves pets, attention, and spending time with his people
🐾 Enjoys running and playing with his doggy foster sister
☁️ Has the softest, fluffiest coat you’ll want to snuggle all day
🏄🏽‍♂️May occasionally try his luck as a counter surfer if food is left within reach.

We had an amazing weekend of adoptions! Brutus Cappuccino, Rumor and Buddha are all sleeping in their forever homes. So how do we celebrate 3 adoptions? Glad you asked!
We say YES to 2 girls in El Paso. Welcome Pickles and Poppi to Pei People!
They are heading to the vet Tuesday for bloodwork and possible Entropion. We won’t say no to a few dollars in donations!

💗 WELCOME TO PEIPEOPLE, MARIBEL! 💗

This sweet girl has had a rough go at life, but you’d never know it by meeting her. 🥹

Maribel arrived at the shelter as a stray, where they discovered her to be heartworm positive. As if that wasn’t enough, she also has a baseball-sized mass on her right hip. 💔

Despite everything she’s been through, Maribel is the definition of happy and hopeful. She walked into her foster home with her head held high, tail wagging, and immediately settled in with her new foster siblings. 🥰

We’re hoping to raise $600 to help offset the cost of her heartworm treatment and removal of her mass. She has a long road ahead of her but she is worth it. ❤️

♥️ Buddha is a handsome 3-year-old, 48-lb cream/blond Shar Pei is ready to steal your heart and find his forever home! 🥰 Buddha is neutered, sweet, laid-back, and has a heart of gold.
🐕 Social Butterfly: Buddha loves people and other dogs! He’s friendly with strangers and enjoys having canine friends.
🚗 Car Rides: He may whimper a little at first, but settles in nicely for the ride.
🦮 Leash Manners: He’s a good walker, although he’s still working on not tugging. With a little practice, he’ll be a pro!
💙 Gentle Soul: Buddha has shown no aggression and is a polite house guest who respectfully stays off the furniture.
🏡 His Perfect Home: Buddha is sensitive to loud noises, like ambulance sirens, so he’d love a patient family who will give him time to build confidence and come out of his shell.
He hasn’t discovered his love for toys yet, and he’s a little particular about treats — apparently, pot roast tastes best served on the floor! 😂❤️ But these little quirks are all part of what makes Buddha special.
Buddha is ready for someone who will give him patience, love, and the chance to blossom into the wonderful companion we know he can be. 🐾❤️

This girl needs our Pei People! She was thrown out of a truck on a Phoenix overpass. A wonderful human pulled over and grabbed her off the road. In the midst of the chaos she bit her savior. Thankfully Az Humane society jumped in and gave this girl a safe place to decompress. Their behavior team has been working with her and she is coming around! We would like to change her luck and make her a pei people girl. She will need to be spayed, Entropion and have her skin issues addressed
Thankfully we have a foster that said yes!

🍁 BRUTUS CAPPUCCINO HAS ENTERED HIS FALL ERA. 🍁

He’s in Arizona, he’s serving looks, he’s apparently unaware that he is NOT a Shar Pei, and he is currently accepting applications for the position of Forever Family.

Before we go any further: WE KNOW. HE ISN’T A SHAR PEI. 😂

We get DOZENS of pleas every single week asking us to save dogs. And every once in a while, the stars align: we have an opening, a foster raises their hand, and suddenly we have another dog who needs a home.

Enter Brutus.

And honestly? Brutus may have broken the system.

This dog is:

🐶 Good with dogs of ALL sizes and ages
👧 Loves kids
🩺 LOVES THE VET — because apparently he has chosen chaos in the most unexpected way
🎓 Has basic training
📸 Is ridiculously photogenic
❤️ And is basically a 10/10 dude

His foster even gave up part of their Saturday to take him to a photo shoot with our friends at Good Vibes Dogtographyin the Phoenix area.

And OMG. LOOK AT HIM. 😍

Now, we need to discuss something important.

If your dream dog is a deeply independent Shar Pei who looks at you like you have personally offended him, listens approximately 33% of the time, and considers your house rules to be merely suggestions…

KEEP SCROLLING. 😂

Brutus is not interested in playing hard to get.

He’s interested in being your best friend.

He wants to hang out. He wants to be included. He wants to love you. He wants to go places. He wants to be a good boy.

Basically, Brutus is the guy who actually READS THE INSTRUCTIONS.

So if you’re looking for a handsome, social, loving, trained-ish, kid-loving, dog-loving, WHY DOES THIS DOG LOVE THE VET?! kind of guy…

👉 Brutus would like to meet you.

His bags are basically packed.

His foster is already emotionally compromised.
