It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Julie Rasor in her role here at the Foundation as our Donor Relations Assistant and now we are congratulating her on her retirement!

Over the past ten years, Julie has helped to grow our Charitable Checking and Donor Advised Funds by working closely with our donors to help with their grantmaking and charitable giving. Julie was instrumental in the Foundation's conversion to our new software system and was often found with her head down trying to solve an issue or research information for the Foundation and our donors.

Good luck Julie and thank you for all that you have done to help the Foundation meet the needs of the community!

Thank you for the opportunity for our staff to jump in and roll up our sleeves to work alongside some amazing people this week!

Roofs, painting, new porches, siding, windows, doors, landscape cleanup and installation, mulch, tree removal, and so many more projects were part of this amazing week!

Congratulations Habitat for Humanity of Miami & Shelby Counties, OH for an amazing week of transforming a neighborhood and impacting so many lives!

Grant Deadline Reminder
We are teaming up with the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce again to host Project G.I.F.T. as part of the Teen Leadership Troy program. Project G.I.F.T. (Grants Investing in the Future of Troy) provides local students with the opportunity to learn about the grantmaking process and empower our local youth to fund the projects that are most meaningful to them in our community.

The Project G.I.F.T. grant application is available on The Troy Foundation’s online grants portal. The deadline for applications is May 15th by 4:00 PM. For more information about Project G.I.F.T., visit https://thetroyfoundation.org/projectgift.

A grant in the amount of $42,300 was awarded during our March meeting to fund the 2026 Troy Kids Summer Feeding Program, a collaborative effort of Partners in Hope, the Troy Rec, Lincoln Community Center, and Troy Schools Food Services. The program aims to provide nutritious meals to Troy children who qualify for free/reduced lunch. The program plans to serve 1,000 lunches per week for 10 weeks between June 8th and August 7th with approximately 200 meals being served daily at sites located at Lincoln Community Center, Troy Rec and Garden Manor Community Room.

Lunches are prepared by the staff of Troy City Schools Food Service and volunteers. Stay tuned for sign-up information for daily volunteers throughout the summer.

A HUGE thank you to these organizations for supporting Troy's kids! We are proud to be a part of this very important program.
