Due to the cold weather and many folks being sick, we decided NOT to have the January meeting tomorrow evening.
We are working on a project that will keep our family of beekeepers
Connected with information on beekeeping. Working with Ohio Local
Feral Honey Bees that chew varroa destructor mites has become our
Focus. Viruses arenโ€™t a problem, working with Dave Wickโ€™s Lab, we have
Data to prove our honey bees are healthy without viruses.

Farm Science Review time, 3rd day. WCOBA & Propolis Projects has a booth at Farm Science Review. Our 15th year.
Photo of Paisley MCCARROLL with her display of photos about her 4H project for 2025, 48 HOUR QUEEN CELLS using feral honey bee genetics.
Very successful. Also showing our work with Purdue University on DNA of honey bees, plus working with a lab in Montana testing for viruses.
Virus testing shows levels of viruses at levels below danger levels. We donโ€™t have to treat feral honey bees to kill the varroa destructor mite, the bees chew the mites!
