It was a privilege for HINJ CEO Chrissy Buteas to attend Governor Mikie Sherrill’s press conference today, highlighting the progress made by the NJ Permitting Governing Council and the introduction of a public-facing Permitting Dashboard.

These are important steps toward making the permitting process more transparent, efficient, and predictable which will reduce uncertainty and make New Jersey more attractive to businesses looking to invest, expand, and create jobs.

HINJ applauds the Administration’s continued focus on modernizing state government to maintain our competitiveness with other states – we look forward to improving New Jersey’s communities, and residents.

On Friday, HINJ hosted their annual summit, HERHealth 2026: What Women (And Men!) Need to Know at Middlesex College in Edison. The half-day forum brought together policymakers, healthcare leaders, academic leaders and industry experts to examine some of the most pressing health challenges facing women and the medical innovations and public policies working to address them.

From access to clinical trials and the evolving landscape of menopause care, to the broader health challenges women face, from heart disease to cancer and Alzheimer’s and more, the event took a broad look at women’s health across the lifespan and the critical role New Jersey’s play in medical research and innovation to improve health outcomes for women.
