Access to primary care can be challenging, especially for the individuals and families served by nonprofit organizations.

At our recent event, Joyce Campbell, Senior Development Consultant, and Nora Bruno, Patient Care Navigator and Office Manager, led the Nonprofit Session with a presentation and conversation focused on the challenges nonprofits face in helping the people they serve connect with primary care.

With funders also in the audience, the discussion created an opportunity to share perspectives on the barriers nonprofits encounter and the support needed to connect more people with care.

Medina Health Center was proud to participate in Healthy Futures: Empowering Black Men, Mothers, and Families, hosted by theAlpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated at Union Baptist Church

Our Nurse Practitioner, Venkatesan Sounderarajan, joined the panel for an important conversation focused on prevention, early detection, maternal health, and the health challenges affecting Black men, mothers, and families.

Medina Board Member Hakim was also there connecting with attendees, sharing information about Medina Health Center, and helping raise awareness of the services and resources available to our community.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with community members, healthcare professionals, advocates, and local leaders working toward healthier families and stronger communities.

We are grateful to receive a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from U.S. Senator Andy Kim recognizing Medina Health Center’s 2026 Golf Fundraiser and our mission to expand access to healthcare across Mercer County and beyond.

Earlier this year, we also had the opportunity to welcome Senator Kim to Medina Health Center , where he met with families and staff and heard directly about healthcare access in our community.

Thank you to the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute and Linda Schwimmer for helping lead this important conversation. We’re grateful to all of our panelists and health care leaders who shared their insights on New Jersey’s Integrated Care License and the future of integrated care.

Yesterday, Quality Institute President & CEO Linda Schwimmer was honored to moderate a panel discussion on implementing New Jersey’s new Integrated Care License at Medina Health Center’s Insights From Health Care Leaders event.

Leaders from the New Jersey Department of Health, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Wellpoint, and VitalGain discussed key implementation considerations, opportunities and challenges, and how health care organizations can prepare for the new licensing framework.
