Together, we discussed traffic safety concerns in Chambersburg and explored solutions for making our roads and sidewalks safer for everyone, whether we’re walking 🚶, biking 🚲, or driving.

This Juneteenth, we honor the history, resilience, and contributions of Black Americans while reflecting on the work that remains to build more equitable communities.

Last year, we explored how connecting with nature and public spaces can help us honor history, heal, and imagine a more just future. We invite you to read our blog "Walking Together: Honoring Our History, Healing Through Nature, Reimagining What’s Possible."

Across New Jersey, communities are marking Juneteenth with festivals, parades, educational programs, and celebrations of Black history and culture. Here are a few events happening in Jersey this weekend.

New Jersey's drinking water and wastewater systems need significant investment. Experts estimate our state will require $77 billion over the next 20 years just to bring existing infrastructure into a state of good repair.

Budget Resolution No. 167, sponsored by Senator Greenstein, would restore State Revolving Fund funding to $60 million, helping New Jersey secure the full federal match available for critical water infrastructure projects.

Investing in water infrastructure:
✅ Protects public health
✅ Creates jobs
✅ Helps keep water rates affordable
✅ Prevents costly emergency repairs

Send a message to your legislators today and ask them to co-sponsor BR No. 167. https://ujoin.co/campaigns/4503/actions/public?action_id=6968

🔑 In today's keynote session, When Driving Is Not an Option: Steering Away from Car Dependency Anna Zivarts will explain that when the needs of involuntary nondrivers are viewed as essential to how we design our transportation systems and our communities, not only will we be able to more easily get where we need to go, but the changes will lead to healthier, climate-friendly communities for everyone.
