AID-NJEA turns 25!

For 25 years, NJEA Members and their families have had the support of the AID-NJEA Helpline. Up until three years ago, NJEA was the only state affiliate to offer such a helpline to its members. In 2023, New York modeled a similar helpline inspired by NJEA.
Callers seeking help from AID-NJEA can count on:
• Help from a staff of Education Support Specialists experienced in education and trained in behavioral health.
• personal response — a “real voice” with no buttons to push.
• Access to thousands of resources from the AID-NJEA Information Directory.
• High quality help by telephone with personal, family and school-related demands.


The AID-NJEA helpline is staffed with active and retired educators. Educators are available Monday-Thursday from 12pm-8pm and Friday from 1pm-6pm. It is staffed by mental health professionals 24/7 and can provide crisis and emergency services during off hours. Dial 866-AID-NJEA (243-6532) or email [email protected].
