Congratulations to the 2026-27 Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education grant winners!! The grant foundation and board of directors have recommended and approved 17 grants totaling $100,954.

Email notifications were sent out to inform this year's applicants of their funding status on 4/16/2026 around 1am.

The Hipp foundation has funded 504 projects totaling over $2,765,580 since its inception in 1994 including these awards.

NJEA Hipp Foundation awards more than $107,000 in new grants

NJEA believes that educators’ ingenuity should not be stifled by lack of funds. That’s why the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education has awarded another 17 grants, including three continuation grants to support creative projects by public school educators totaling $107,091.00. This total is possible thanks to an additional $10,000 from Visions Federal Credit Union.
Established in 1993, the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education is dedicated to supporting projects that will enhance and improve the learning environment in our schools. Since its creation, the Foundation has awarded more than $2.4 million in support of 460 innovative educational projects that represent a bold, fresh approach by public school employees.
