Local 1032 stewards, officers and staff reps organized a successful Member Solidarity Resource Fair today at DOT. Over 60 members attended and stewards signed up 7 non-members. We celebrated telework rule victory and helping Mikie Sherrill win the governor’s race. Building a stronger CWA everyday!

Local 1040 branch presidents, stewards, staff reps and officers lead by President Michele Long-Vickers have organized a series of blitzes at worksites around NJ, resulting in hundreds of members getting info about CWA-negotiated benefits and rights as well as the healthcare campaign. Many committed to attend the June 4th HC rally at the State House. Over 25 non-members filled out CWA membership cards and joined their union because we are stronger together!

Local 1038 new stewards training covered many skills and knowledge from grievance handling to internal organizing to political action. Although most of these stewards’ worksites are over 90% members, they all left the training with about two to five names of co-workers who are not yet CWA members that they will talk with about importance of informed, engaged members ready to take action being the key to our union power in our worksites, during negotiations and in our communities, state and country- they want to be 💯 membership!! We will meet in two weeks to discuss how their efforts are going.
