The City is seeking community input on potential mobility improvements as part of the 2028–2029 Watermain & Street Reconstruction Project, which includes portions of Boardman Avenue, Washington Street, Cass Street, State Street, and the public alley west of Cass Street.

While the project will replace aging underground utilities, it also presents an opportunity to improve how people walk, bike, drive, and access destinations throughout the area.

Potential improvements include bicycle facilities, pedestrian safety enhancements, accessibility upgrades, and traffic-calming measures. Some improvements could also impact on-street parking.

We want to hear from you! Whether you live, work, visit, or travel through the area, your feedback will help inform the project's preliminary design.

Voting for Oryana's 2027 Groceries for Good program ends this week, and TART Trails is on the ballot!

If selected, TART will receive donations from Oryana shoppers throughout one month in 2027. Shoppers can round up their purchases at checkout, and Oryana will also donate 2% of sales on one day that month. It’s a pretty awesome way to turn everyday grocery trips into support for trails!

Shop Your Community Day is just around the corner!

Shop downtown Traverse City on Saturday, November 7, and support TART Trails while checking a few things off your holiday shopping list!

At participating downtown merchants, 15% of your purchase will be donated to the nonprofit of your choice. It’s a great way to shop local, support small businesses, and give back to the trails and community you love.

We're in the running for Oryana Community Co-op's 2027 Groceries for Good program.

Each month, Oryana features a local nonprofit. Shoppers can round up their purchases at the register to support that organization. Oryana contributes even more through a designated 2% of sales donation day. Everyday grocery trips add up to meaningful support for organizations doing important work throughout our community.

🚧Leo Creek Culvert Replacement Project Update 🚧

Work continues at Leo Creek as our construction partners make steady progress on upgrading the culverts along the Leelanau Trail. These improvements will enhance water flow, support the ecological health of the surrounding area, and create a more sustainable trail crossing.

Construction remains on schedule for completion by the end of November!

In the meantime, please follow the designated detour to help keep both trail users and construction crews safe.
