Couldn't make it to our 60th anniversary show? Don't fret! We're going to be on the Center Stage at Leelaneau Uncaged on Saturday, Sept. 26th for a 40-minute set at 4:15 p.m. This is a free event thanks to sponsors/donors, three stages, and a veritable tsunami of performances from every artistic genre. Check out the lineup at https://www.leelanauuncaged.com and mark your calendar!

Leelanau UnCaged is the free, all-day street festival where art and community come alive. Inspired by the groundbreaking ideas of composer John Cage, each year, on the last Saturday in September we transform the heart of Northport into dynamic, open-air stages. It’s a full takeover of music, uniqu...

Thank you 9&10 News for the very thoughtful segment on Monday morning’s news broadcast about what makes chorus membership special — and if you missed Sunday’s show, here’s a peek behind the curtain!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our 60th anniversary celebration a day to remember.

We always close our rehearsals with this tune, “Keep the Whole World Singing” (formerly “Keep America Singing” before the 1970s expansion of the Barbershop Harmony Society to an international organization). Last night, we ended our program by having our guest quartets, and all other current and former barbershoppers in the audience, join in singing it with us.

We hope we sang it just the way our director emeritus, Marty Chirgwin, likes it! 😉

Extra-big thanks to City Opera House for being an excellent host, and to our sponsors-in-harmony 4Front Credit Union and Tom Beatty (in memory of Donald Beatty).

Thanks also to our wonderful director Chad Hall for all the love and hard work he puts into our group, and to The Dandy TC | Breakfast. Brunch. Lunch. Downtown Traverse City for hosting a wonderful afterparty.

Many other season sponsor thank-yous to come, but for the moment we’re heading into our seventh decade with a smile. Tomorrow we’re right back to work with an evening coaching session. Look for us around the barberpole soon! 💈

TODAY! Join us from 4-6pm at the City Opera House for a celebration of 60 years of Barbershop singing in Traverse City. Musical Guests Forefront and the Four Man Fishin’ Tackle Choir are ready to bring the house down, figuratively speaking — grab a drink, pick out a plush seat, and get ready for some stellar acapella performances. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
