Happy Birthday to our skater Carolina Fury! 🥳🎂

Fury is not only a skater, but our Fundraising Coordinator and an NSO! When she’s on the track, Fury is a fierce blocker that is as strong and unmoving as a brick wall. When NSOing, Fury is truly a jack-of-all-trades and will thrive in any spot she officiates in! 💪

Fury is truly the definition of sunshine personified. She will always do her best to make anyone smile and share a laugh. She goes above and beyond to help anyone in need whether it’s at practice, in a game, or behind the scenes to help our league run smoothly. ☀️

Have a wonderful birthday, Fury! 💚

Happy Birthday to our skater Slam Chowder! 🥳🎂

Chow just finished their rookie season with TCRD and has absolutely excelled as a roller derby athlete! In just his first year, Chow already proves to be a threat both jamming and blocking. They’re courageous, fast, and as tough as a brick wall! 💪

Chow always brings the energy to every practice and game. They’re uplifting, encouraging, and love to share a laugh. He’s made such an incredible addition to the team and we can’t wait to see how they continue to grow as a skater! 🛼❤️‍🔥

Have a wonderful birthday, Chow! 💚

Happy (belated) Birthday to our skater Back Allie Brawl! 🥳🎂

Allie just finished her rookie season with TCRD and WOW did she prove how much of a badass she is in just her first year of roller derby! 🤩 Allie is a jammer powerhouse with the strength, speed, and agility to break through walls and score all the points. 💪

While Allie is a fantastic skater with the MVPs to prove it, she is also a friend to everyone, supportive through every practice, and someone who will go above and beyond to dedicate her time to volunteering and helping anyone she can. ❤️‍🔥

We’re so grateful to have her as a part of this team and can’t wait to see how she continues to grow as a skater! 🛼

📣 We Need Your Help! 📣

Traverse City Roller Derby’s adult and junior leagues need a winter practice space through March 2027.

👉 We need an enclosed space with skate able floors, a bathroom, and minimum 4500sq feet of space.

Bonus if the space has temperature control, storage for gear while we’re there, and enough space for a full track plus ref lane!

🍒 We’re an insured, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Some examples of spaces would be rec centers, indoor sports facilities, school gyms, churches, pole barns, and industrial garages. 🏫

Some examples of skate-able floors are polished concrete, wood, sport court, tile, and tennis court. 🛼

‼️ If you or someone you know has a location in mind, please message us or email [email protected]

Thank you to Root River Rollers for letting us use their space-search template! 💚
