is a private, non-profit organization with the mission of “protecting and providing a voice to the homeless animals of Brevard County.” Founded in 1979 in Titusville, Florida, the SPCA is the largest private no-kill animal rescue group in Brevard, finding homes for more than 2,600 animals a year. It is the first adoption facility with free-roaming cat rooms in the County, allowing adopters to interact with the cats in a more home-like setting.

Summer Camp had an amazing day! 🌞🐾 Campers learned from two of our awesome vet techs about how we keep our shelter animals healthy and happy, and then got creative with tie-dye to make their official camp t-shirts. So much fun and learning packed into one day!

Mia Kate is a 2-year-old, white, spayed female, large mixed breed. Mia Kate is up to date on all her vaccines. Her owner says she is great with children, comfortable with cats, and good with medium and large-size dogs. Mia Kate is described as friendly, house trained and crate trained. Mia loves to be outside and would do great with a family that can keep up with her high energy level.

These cool cats asked us to invite you to come hang out with them in Cat Room 5! They live in our awesome free-roam space where you can spend time getting to know their unique personalities. 😼😹😽

This past weekend at the , 26 shelter animals—including two bonded pairs—found loving homes during the Florida Mega Adoption event! 💜

Thanks to an incredible partnership with the Petco Love and more than 40 shelters across Florida, this special event made a huge impact for pets in need. We’re so grateful to have been part of such an inspiring effort to help our furry friends find their forever families.

Thank you to everyone who adopted, supported, and helped spread the word—you made this weekend unforgettable! 🐶🐱

A note of gratitude from our Volunteer Program Manager:

This weekend’s Petco Love Mega Adoption Event was a beautiful reminder of something we say often at the SPCA of Brevard: we simply could not do this work without our volunteers.

From helping guests and potential adopters, to walking dogs, cuddling cats, answering questions, setting up, cleaning up, and jumping in wherever help was needed, our volunteers showed up in a big way all weekend long.

While our staff works tirelessly every day to care for the animals, volunteers help turn “getting by” into truly thriving. They provide extra hands, extra hearts, and extra love, and the animals feel every bit of it.

We didn’t manage to get photos of all of the amazing volunteers who helped this weekend (too busy saving the day, apparently), but please know how deeply grateful we are for every single one of you.

Thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your compassion to the animals who need it most. You make a difference in more ways than you probably realize, and we are so lucky to have you as part of the SPCA family.

🐾 Meet Rascal — Our Longest Resident with the Biggest Personality!

Rascal has been waiting since January for his forever home, and we can’t believe this fun-loving guy is still here! At almost 8 years old, he proves age truly is just a number—he’s got the heart and energy of a puppy.

🐶 Rascal lives for fun and adventure. Whether it’s chasing toys, playing fetch, or splashing in the water, he’s always ready to go.

🤸‍♂He’d thrive in an active home where he can keep up with daily excitement and be part of the action. Despite being considered a senior, Rascal is full of life and enthusiasm.

🏠He’ll need a secure yard, as he’s been known to hop a fence in search of adventure. He does well with larger dogs but would do best in a home without small dogs or cats.

🦴Bonus: he loves treats and training, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys working with their dog.

✨Extra Bonus: HIS ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED
