Today, VFW Auxiliary 4228 had the honor of presenting a new American flag and POW/MIA flag to the Principal and Staff at Imperial Estates Elementary School! Post Commander Bill Northcutt, Trustee Greg Hand, and Auxiliary Sr. Vice Jimmy Kelley proudly raised the flags. A Special Thanks to Bill and Greg for being there to support the Auxiliary.
Along with the flags, the Auxiliary presented the school with a framed message highlighting the deep significance of the POW/MIA flag. The silhouette, watchtower, and barbed wire serve as a constant reminder of our nation’s promise: "You Are Not Forgotten."
By displaying this flag, Imperial Estates joins us in honoring the brave men and women who were taken as Prisoners of War or remain Missing in Action. We hope it serves as a daily reminder to students and staff of the courage, sacrifice, and heroes that make our freedom possible.
