The agriculture community lost a good one last week. It’s hard to put into words the impact one person can have on a community, but that’s exactly what Rodman Myers did. He was a genuinely kind, humble, and generous man who showed up—time and time again—for agriculture, for our youth, and for the future of our FFA alumni and The Thurmont and Emmitsburg Community Show.

His support wasn’t just in words, but in actions. Whether it was lending a helping hand, offering encouragement, or quietly helping behind the scenes. He believed in our community, the Catoctin FFA Chapter, the Catoctin Area FFA Alumni Chapter, the Thurmont and Emmitsburg Community Show and so much more. He believed in all the kids who are growing up in this community and in the ag industry. That kind of support is hard to find and it meant everything to us.

Rodman will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in every student, chapter, and organization that he helped, every project he supported, and every moment he made better just by being there.

We are so grateful for him and his wisdom—and we will carry his kindness and dedication forward. On behalf of the Catoctin Area FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter, we extend our thoughts and prayers to the entire Myers family.

View Charles Rodman Myers's obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.
