🥣 Thank you to our April and May meal providers. By providing the evening meal and morning take-away items to shelter clients, you provided something warm and filling, a dish of hope and love, and a caring moment knowing they could sleep in a cozy bed with a full belly and to meet the morning with something to get them through the day. Thank you for the love, care, and support you poured into clients through the meals and snacks you provided. We appreciate you!

⏰️ Tonight marks another FIVE nights the shelter will be open to offer a warm, safe place to sleep after a hot shower and filling meal. Our advocates are ready to offer rest, care, and support to those clients who come through our door.

🥪 Each morning, we offer morning take-away bags to help shelter clients make it through the day - some easy-to-eat-on-the-go snacks and a bottle of water to tide them over until they get back to us or find their next meal. Applesauce, fresh fruit that travels well, jerky, peanut butter and crackers, etc are perfect. Please consider adding us to your shopping list for items in this category. Everything helps!

2️⃣7️⃣0️⃣ What a number, right? May brought 270 opportunities for us to offer care and support to those looking for a safe place to rest for the night. As the only emergency shelter in the local area, we are always happy to answer our door to those in need of our services.

🌡 As the temperatures rise, we see more and more showing up at the shelter seeking respite from the street. May kept our shelter at capacity most nights. We know this is only the beginning of summer, so we continue to do what we can to prepare to welcome in as many as we can to stay with us each night.

❤️ Shelter services are only available due to the help and support from our donors and the handful of grants we receive. Each time we are able to serve, it is only because someone has been willing to support the shelter and the services we provide. As a 501(c)3, we rely on the donors, supporters, and friends of the shelter to help us continue the work we do. Please consider joining us with a regular monthly donation.

💫 It doesn't matter why someone ends up at our door, just that they made it to us. Everyone falls. We are happy to be right here to help someone up. We use the opportunity we have with shelter clients to pour the love of Jesus on them and support them during a vulnerable time. As the only emergency shelter in the local area for those looking for a safe place to rest for the night, we are happy to be here waiting for those to come in who are seeking refuge and rest. 💗 These quick snapshots were sent over earlier this week to let us know Fountain of Life Rescue Shelter had a spotlight at Thomasville First Methodist's Vacation Bible School. We are honored and proud to accept the offerings and blessings the VBS kids collected this week while they were singing, crafting, and learning about Jesus.

💫 We strive to be a place of safety, rest, and support for those who need it most. Our mission is all about providing hope for a future and encouragement to keep going. Our advocates welcome clients in and pour care, concern, and prayer over all who walk through our doors.
