✨️ As the only emergency shelter in the local area for those looking for a safe place to rest for the night, we are happy to be here waiting for those to come in who are seeking refuge from the night.

🏡 Our mission is about providing hope for a future and encouragement to keep going. Our amazing advocates welcome clients in, serve them a warm meal, and provide a safe, cozy place to rest. Clients walk away in the morning with a morning take-away bags to get them through the day, having had a hot shower, their clothes freshly laundered, and their spirit rested and cared for.

🔥 Opening early TODAY, Friday, 8/21 🔥
With the current heat advisories, we have made plans to open the shelter early Friday, August 21, 2026. We will open at 4pm to help our clients find some relief from the elements. We will continue to modify as we are able as heat advisories continue. This is only possible because of our faithful donors, supporters, and friends and our flexible and caring shelter staff. Thank you to each person who plays a part in helping the shelter provide refuge from the night for those in need.

🌞 Each morning, shelter clients are sent out into the day with a morning take-away bag. These bags typically provide a breakfast item, bottle of water, and a snack or two to help them get their day started or tide them over through part of their day. Sometimes we receive prepacked bags from churches and organizations and some even get decorated with children's encouraging artwork or an encouraging note inside. We are happy to accept morning take-away items or even pre-packed morning take-away bags (dropped off at the shelter Thurs-Mon after 5pm) to share with shelter clients each morning as they leave.

🏡 We love it when former clients drop by to tell us how they are doing. But we also love seeing them out and about taking part in the community that provided support for them, rooted for them, and made a place for them to feel welcome.

💧 We are also in need of cases of water. We always try to offer clients a bottle of water to take with them each morning as they leave and have cool water waiting for them as they arrive at the shelter in the evening. We are happy to accept cases of water after 5pm any night we are open.
