Our mission as a new nonprofit arts organization is to document,promote, and preserve our rich Georgia/Florida natural and historic heritage through the works of nationally known and amateur artists. Our primary objectives are to provide adult artists with painting classes, continuing education, and other opportunities; to offer regional artists curated shows that promote work and offer sales outl

ets across Georgia and Florida; to develop ongoing relationships with other organizations to serve our mutual missions; to utilize original artist works that celebrate our plantations and historic sites for marketing and promotion; and to raise awareness through art for environmental threats and issues.

CALL TO ARTISTS | COCA is currently accepting proposals from individual artists and small groups for exhibitions at the Tallahassee City Hall and Tallahassee Artport Galleries for the 2027 calendar year!

Artists 18 years of age or older who reside in Tallahassee and/or the Big Bend Region (within a 100 mile radius of Tallahassee) are invited to submit full exhibition proposals for consideration. Artwork must be original, completed in the last three years, and not previously shown in either of the physical Artport or City Hall gallery spaces.

There is no entry fee, but applicants are required to be current COCA Members.

We accept all media, 2-D or 3-D, including fine art, craft, and photography, but exclude video and performance art.

Deadline to apply is July 31, 2026

LeMoyne Arts is seeking artists working in fire-based mediums for our upcoming exhibition, *Through the Fire*.

Featuring ceramics, glass, metalwork, enamel, forged works, and other fire-shaped practices, this exhibition celebrates the transformative power of heat, flame, and creative vision. From the kiln to the forge, artists harness elemental forces to turn raw materials into works of beauty, craftsmanship, and expression. We are also looking for complementary 2D artworks to hang on the gallery walls.

Selected artists will exhibit alongside featured artist Mary Ellen Free in this celebration of the vibrant community of makers throughout our region.
