This Sunday we'll continue our series on American values that are challenged by the Kingdom of God. This week: Celebrity Culture. Why is our culture so obsessed with celebrities? What does it say about us? What about Christian celebrities? Is that a thing? Does a life that is not big, loud, visible and applauded matter? What does Jesus have to say about all this? This Sunday is Breakfast Church. Who said church always has to look the same. We are the church. And we'll gather around tables this Sunday to eat, laugh, love one another and together turn our hearts towards Jesus. As usual, bring your favorite breakfast item to share, but if life happens and you can't do that, please come anyway.

We are all shaped by the values of the cultures in which we live, whether you live in Cairo, Egypt or Cairo, Georgia. Sometimes the values of God's Kingdom mesh well with our cultural values. For example, Americans value things like justice and human dignity. So does Jesus. But for every culture of the world, there are some Kingdom values that conflict with or deeply challenge our dearly held cultural values. We start a new series this Sunday looking at some of the ways in which the values of God's Kingdom challenge some of our American cultural values. Bring a friend and join us this Sunday at 10am.

He also mentors several college age young men, hosts the TU Baseball Bible study at his home and serves regularly at the Thomasville Street Feed. Bring a friend and come join us this Sunday at 10am.
