Junior Woman's Club of Mequon-Thiensville - Turkey Trot

The JWC M-T organizes the Turkey Trot 5k run/walk held every year on Thanksgiving morning. Funds raised benefit organizations around Ozaukee County.

We are now accepting applications for 2026 Turkey trot beneficiaries! If your organization has a project or program needing donations, we may be able to help.

We’ve helped stock food pantries, contribute to vehicle purchases, increase access to community programming, fund park features, and more!

No political or religious affiliation.

If you have been involved in the Turkey Trot in some capacity over the course of the last 8 years, chances are you have run into these two ladies-Kim Theune and Laura Leske. One or both of them have been presidents of the Junior Woman’s Club of Mequon-Thiensville since 2018! They do more for the club and community than we will ever know and we are beyond grateful.

This year we said goodbye to them as they pass on the key to a new president, Sarah Gainey. We will miss them in that role and also excited for this next chapter!

Make sure to stay after you race through that finish line so the kiddos can partake in the Gobble Gallop! We try to wait for most of walkers to get through and get it going right in the grassy area at Village Park around 10am. Listen for the megaphones!📢

Reminder! We will be collecting new, unused toys for Kids 2 Kids Toy Drive in collaboration with the Thiensville Police Department at packet pickup for the Turkey trot and day of the race!
