A HUGE thank you to Jacqueline Beaton and Active Paws Rescue for coming to the rescue of the rescuers! ❤️🐾

Moving is chaotic enough, but moving an entire crew of dogs AND all their belongings? That’s a whole different level of crazy! 😂

Thanks to Jacqueline generously loaning Friends of Faye their rescue van, we were able to get Faye and her furry friends moved into their new home in ONE TRIP! 🙌

Dogs, crates, beds, supplies, and approximately 47,000 other things these spoiled animals apparently own. 😂🐶

What could have been an absolute logistical nightmare turned into a lifesaver!

This is what I love about the rescue community. **Rescues helping rescues, and good people showing up for each other.**

Jacqueline, we appreciate you more than you know! Thank you for making this move SO much easier on all of us! ❤️

There was a time when I genuinely didn't know if Louie was going to make it. He had such a long road ahead of him, but look at him now. **Not just surviving, but THRIVING!** ❤️

This is why we do what we do. This is why we keep going, even on the hardest days.

From foster mom Dani!! Update on this little dude!!

Picked this little boy up today to come stay with me for a bit. He was found on the side of the road, clearly malnourished. Catherine has had him for a little while and was able to get him cleaned up, shaved, and all of his wounds healed up. Now it’s my turn to love on him and let him learn how to dog in a home. 🤍

He met Wemberly and Kitty and spent quite a bit of time pacing around and checking everything out. He’s very slow moving but seems incredibly gentle.

He still needs to gain some weight. He's a skinny dude. He's getting small, but steady meals. He would absolutely devour everything in sight if I let him, though. He even eats the grass in my yard like it’s candy. Poor guy was clearly surviving on whatever he could find.

Once he gains a little more weight, he’ll be neutered. He will start heartworm treatment soon as well.

And now… he’s already put himself to bed for the night and stolen Kitty’s spot. 😂

Happy Monday, y’all! ❤️

We have a FANTASTIC update on our little Phyllis Diller—and let’s just say, this one has the BEST ending to one wild story!

Remember this little nugget? She spent quite a bit of time running the streets of a Cypress neighborhood, with SO many people trying to catch her. One person described her perfectly as looking like a “lady on the side of the street with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth.” 😂 In other words… she was a HOT MESS!

Well, Phyllis’s story has come FULL CIRCLE. 🥰
Sharon’s granddaughter was actually one of the people who tried to catch little Phyllis! Once Phyllis was safe and thriving in her foster home, the family reached out to Friends of Faye because Sharon was hoping to adopt her.

Sharon was looking for a friend for her little pup Hailey, and once we met the family, we knew Phyllis—now Carly—had found exactly where she was meant to be. ❤️ She just took the scenic route getting there!

Carly is now surrounded by family—both human AND canine—and somehow, she’s even more amazing with her new momma than she was in foster care! She loves her toys, plays with the other dogs, and even sort of tolerates the youngsters in the house. 😂

From running the streets as a wild little hot mess to being a beloved family girl… what a journey!

Our foster babe Louie is looking for his forever home. Is he a chunk? yes. He’s our Chonky boy! But he’s lost weight… now that he’s lost weight does he look like he’s carting around “double D’s” - also yes.

When he “runs” it is basically our very own Baywatch episode Pam Anderson ain’t got nothing on Louie.

Is he pretty much blind and deaf, well ya.. who cares? Does he navigate just fine? Sure does. When you see with your heart and hear with your nose…

Does he want a human with an attention span that includes “Louie first and foremost” tendencies? Yes

Does he love literally everyone and everything he meets? Yes. But his closest friends? Rugs. My guy has never met a rug he has not rubbed his face from corner to corner on.

Louie is 10-14 years old, 28 # and apart from daily eyedrops for dry eye, has a perfect bill of health. Louie is a special boy looking for a special family! Could you be that family??

Welcome “Baron von Taco” to Friends of Faye. This handsome gentleman was found hiding in the bushes off of FM1774 and by all appearances he has been on his own for a bit. Severely underweight, injured with multiple open wounds this kiddos is now safe and the healing has begun. We are grateful that we had access to quality medical care right away to start his recovery. A solid shave to remove matting from not only overgrown fur but puss and blood sticking to fur ….it is amazing that he is not suffering more from massive infection. The ears needed a good cleaning and we will refrain from describing them, but one was enough to cause him great pain that he flinched whenever you came close to his left ear. Nails are now trimmed, meds are on board and a special salve is being applied to his open wounds. It should come as no surprise that this sweet boy is also heartworm positive which we will of course be treating in 30 days once done with his antibiotics. Despite ALL of this he is very sweet and in a very cute way, curious. Takes pets, doesn’t mind being picked up and cuddled and walks on a leash albeit slowly. Each step is taken with caution. Friends of Faye will get this boy in tip top shape and we will continue to update our followers on his progress. Baron von Taco (taco is a nod to finder’s son who named him) - We got you!

🎉 WELL, HILLARY IS 42. 🎉 (almost)

I am officially “all the way in and committed to” my forties — whether I like it or not. 😂

And because I don’t need more stuff, but Friends of Faye ALWAYS needs more money for vet bills… we’re making this birthday about the dogs. 🐾

And somebody clearly loves Hillary AND loves their life also involving rescue dogs, because an incredibly generous anonymous donor has offered to:

And now Little Goose ……. He was found abandoned with his sister Birdie and is also hanging out with our FOF foster Thank you for fostering!

Foster needed -

someone dumped this precious dog in a cage with all of its belongings at the Magnolia H-E-B a couple of weeks ago. Finder is unable to keep him any longer and we have offered to help.

We would love to find a local foster for him!

I am not yet sure on age or overall temperament.

Little Ms. Birdie was found abandoned with her brother Goose in a Montgomery County neighborhood. She is one lucky girl when a Friends of Faye foster was able to open her home to her and provide us with a few details on her personality!
Birdie is your typical puppy 11 week old puppy, full of energy, quite cuddly and people loving, smart and learns quickly. WATER - she loves water, be it in a bowl, pool or tub - in the pool she prefers to just hang on the stairs.
Weighing in at just a bit over 17lbs, Birdie would be a favorite with the BIG dog lovers. First vaccines have been given and she is ready to find a family to call her own. INTERESTED? Our adoption application can be found on our website www.friendsoffaye.com
