Love, Loyalty, and U-Boats in the Gulf!
February 12, 2026
At Spring Creek's February meeting, Regent Gretchen Crawford shared her new program on a little-known chapter of WWII history - German U-Boats in the Gulf! During this month of Love, the chapter showed their:
Love of DAR: Played DAR Bingo.
Love of Service: Service to America hours certificates.
Love of Past Regents: Honored five former regents with Honorary Regent status.
We celebrated Valentines Day with a two-minute “Vinegar Valentines” history lesson and Black History Month with a report on Lucy Terry Prince, a former slave and poet who famously argued her own case before the Vermont Supreme Court. Spring Creek passed motions to support five veterans charities and one local food pantry. The chapter also approved plans for an America 250! display at the local library. Food and friendship were enjoyed by all.
