It's Make-a-Will month! What!? There is a month for a Will? There is a month for everything. But the good news is that it doesn't actually take an entire month to make a Will.

One of the most heartbreaking and frustrating things we hear from caregivers after their loved ones pass is that they wish they had better understood what their loved one wanted to do with what they left behind.

Cornerstone Hospice has a new resale shop opening in September, here in The Villages! The first Collection Day will be on Thursday July 9th at The Villages Hospice on Mariposa Way. The event will run from 7:30am-1:30pm. Please bring clothing, home goods & décor, jewelry & accessories, art and unique treasures! All items must be in excellent condition and free of odors & stains. If you have furniture you would like to donate, names will be collected on site for scheduling a pick-up. If you have any questions, please contact Kristen Foss at 352-742-6861 or [email protected].

Cornerstone Hospice Foundation was excited to host the South Lake County Moose Lodge 1615 Chapter 1170 at Camp Braveheart for a tour and presentation of a $5,000 check. Their support allows the Cornerstone Hospice to direct support to the most critical needs of our patients and families at the Mike Conley Hospice House and throughout South Lake County. Thanks for your continued support!

Cornerstone Hospice Foundation remains grateful for the efforts of the Kings Ridge Men's Golf Association! At their 20th Annual Golf Tournament on May 4th, they raised $31,560 in support of the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, bringing their lifetime total raised to more than $520,000. Thank you to all the committee members, sponsors, and residents at Kings Ridge who supported the effort!

We are so grateful for this community. Thank to everyone who played in and donated to the Peg Busch Golf Tournament!

After months of work by over 75 volunteers to run St George’s 25th Annual Peg Busch Ladies Scramble with 120 players, we presented a check today to Carol Felder Yapaolo of Cornerstone Hospice for $23,000! That is almost $5,000 more than last year. An outstanding result for a worthy and well-run organization. St George is proud to support Cornerstone in providing their compassionate end-of-life care. Many thanks to Fr Jim Taylor who gave Carol and Dale bouquets of 🌹 roses to show St George’s gratitude for their hard work. God bless one and all!
