📣 TWO PAID OPPORTUNITIES AT SCREWS

We listened, reconsidered, and decided these responsibilities are better served as two separate part-time contractor opportunities.

🌱 Community Access Coordinator — $15/hr
Hands-on support for our Community Tool Library, including tools, inventory, member pickups/returns, events, and community access.

📣 Program Support & Outreach Assistant — $15–$20/hr
Help coordinate workshops, research opportunities, support community outreach, create social content, and help more people discover SCREWS.

Both are part-time 1099 independent contractor opportunities, and there may be additional paid hours for the right candidate as our programs and funding grow.

We’d especially love to hear from college students, emerging professionals, and people looking for meaningful side work who are organized, dependable, community-minded, and excited about helping a growing Tallahassee nonprofit make practical resources more accessible.

We’ve made several updates to the SCREWS website to make it easier to connect with our work.

Explore the Tool Library, learn more about our programs, find ways to volunteer or collaborate, and create your free account.

Registration is completely free. Registering helps us measure community interest, understand the need for shared tools, plan future resources and programs, and keep you connected with what SCREWS is doing.

Even if you are not ready to borrow a tool today, registering helps demonstrate that our community values affordable access to tools and community-based resource sharing.

This week we’re highlighting our air compressor and adapter kit, ready to help with everything from inflating tires and sports equipment to powering pneumatic tools and tackling projects around the home.
