Today is the day! We are so excited to welcome families to Trunk or Treat, starting at 5:00 pm. 🎃

A very special thank you to our sponsors: Shaffield Building Specialties, Inc., Goodwill Industries - Big Bend, Inc., Behavior Management Consultants, Windwood Communications, and Playball!

We will also have Boss Kitchen Food Truck, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and a bounce house.

🎉 Happy One Year Anniversary, Miss Lay! 🎉

Today marks one whole year of Miss Lay being part of our TLP family, and we need your help celebrating her before the day ends!

For those who don’t know, Miss Lay is one of our floaters at TLP. She’s hardworking, funny, and always brings great energy—and our kiddos love having her around! When she’s not with our little learners, she’s busy studying psychology as a part-time student at TSC. 📚

Fun fact: Miss Lay is also a Hello Kitty fan and loves to roller skate! 🛼🎀

🎉🎂 Double the birthdays, double the celebration. We have TWO very special TLP birthdays to celebrate! 🎂🎉

Please join us in wishing a HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to Ms. Stephanie, who celebrated on Saturday, October 10, and an EARLY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Ms. Angela, who celebrates on Thursday, October 15! 🥳🎈

The weather may have delayed our birthday shoutout just a bit, but we couldn’t let these special days pass without showing them some TLP love! 💕 We are so grateful for the care, smiles, energy, and heart Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Angela bring to our kiddos and our TLP family.

Here’s to another trip around the sun filled with plenty of reasons to smile! ☀️🎉🎂

📣 TLP Families: Early Closure Tomorrow, Friday, October 9

As approaches and the threat for inland flooding is high, we will close at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9, in accordance with our safety protocols and guidance from the County and School District.

Closing early will help keep drivers off the roads as conditions worsen and give our entire TLP family, including staff, time to get home safely and complete any last-minute preparations before the rain arrives.

Please arrange to pick up your child by 12:30 p.m.

The safety of our kiddos, families, and staff remains our priority. We know unexpected changes can be stressful, and we truly appreciate everyone’s flexibility, understanding, and teamwork. 💛

Thank you for all you do for our kiddos and one another. Stay safe, TLP family!

🚒 Nope, that’s not a costume for our upcoming Trunk or Treat! That’s a real-life firefighter—and he brought the FIRE TRUCK! 👨‍🚒🔥

Our friends from the City of Tallahassee Fire Department rolled into TLP for an on-site field trip, and our kiddos didn’t just get to see the truck from afar. They got to climb aboard, explore, ask questions, meet the firefighters, and get an up-close look at the gear they use to keep our community safe. Judging by those smiles from the truck, we’d say it was a hit. 😍🚒

With fall festivities right around the corner, it was also the perfect opportunity to talk about fire safety and help our little learners become comfortable with what a firefighter looks and sounds like when fully geared up. Behind all that equipment is a community helper there to keep them safe. ❤️

And this is exactly why we love bringing experiences like this to TLP. Children learn best when they can see it, touch it, explore it, ask about it—and PLAY in it!

A HUGE thank you to the Tallahassee Fire Department for bringing this adventure right to our front door. We may have a few future firefighters on our hands! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒
