Hi, I’m Astro!
I’m a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd / Border Collie mix currently being fostered in Beaverton, OR. I’m a sweet, relaxed guy with a big heart who loves being near his people. Most days, you’ll find me happily hanging out under the desk while my foster mom works!
About Me & My Skill Set:
House Manners: Fully potty trained and a pro at using the doggie door.
Health: Fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
Favorite Hobbies: Helping water the garden (I love the hose!), hanging out in the yard, and playing a cheeky game of keep-away with mom’s glasses or the TV remote when she’s not looking. I walk nicely on a leash when wearing my harness. I also like to talk so am a bit barky when I want to play, but am easily redirected. I am learning to play fetch with the ball, but not ball crazy I LOVE belly rubs!
Car Rides: Getting into the car isn't my favorite, but once I'm inside, I'm super well-behaved.
My Ideal Home: I am friendly with both people and other dogs, but I would thrive best as the only dog in the home so I can soak up all your love, pets, and undivided attention. A home with a fenced yard where I can relax outside would be a dream come true. Older kids are ok, and have not been tested on cats, but may be ok with the proper introductions. I would be a great running/hiking buddy!!

Sadie is a 26 lb, 10 month old Border Collie mixed breed who is cuddly, smart, and active. Her favorite things to do are sunbathe, play at the park, and go hikes on a long line.
She is fully crate trained and house broken. She's sprayed and up to date on all vaccines. She has no bite history.
She loves all humans and is very tolerant to unexpected or abnormal handling, she is jumpy when excited though so I don't think she would do the best with very young kids. She is highly agile and confident and I'm sure would love to do agility or other dog sports. She is generally good on a leash but she is leash reactive towards other dogs, we have been working with a +R trainer and she has shown some improvement.

3 aussie dogs at the Walla Walla Humane Society ranging in age from 4 to 7. The female is 7 years old, her owner passed away, not sure about the two others which are boys. Transport to western Washington is available. Foster homes would be great if they go through rescue, but adoption directly through the shelter is also an option.

Bio:
My dad recently moved to an assisted living facility in Portland and unfortunately he can't keep his wonderful australian shepherd, Kit. We would've absolutely loved to keep her but we already have two aussie rescues!

She's an 8 year old pure bred Australian shepherd who is sweet and very easy to take care of. She enjoys hanging out at home without being crated and loves car rides. Also loves to play catch and jump into the water.

She's great with kids and most dogs. No history of biting. She's sprayed, up to date on all vaccines and has no health issues.

She can be a bit jumpy when excited and will occasionally bark at strangers coming to the house but is very sweet to everyone, at home or out in the world.

Meet this handsome sweetheart, Astro! He is a neutered three year old aussie/border collie cross. His former owner couldn't match his energy, so decided it would be best to find Astro a new home. He is potty trained, uses a doggie door, sleeps by the bed, and plays ball. Good with most other dogs and people. He is neutered but needs to have his vaccinations updated. Things we are working on -- walking on a leash and getting in and out of the car. He is being fostered in Portland, Or and will be available through Australian Shepherds Furever in a couple of weeks.

🐾 Meet Annie! 🐾

Available for adoption in Central Oregon, Annie is a sweet, happy, playful girl with energy for days! At about 1.5 years old and 37 lbs, this Aussie girl is always ready for her next adventure. 💛

✨ What Annie loves:
• Running full speed around the yard (zoomies are her specialty!)
• Wrestling and chasing with other dogs
• Frisbee, fetch, and anything that keeps her moving
• Walks and hikes—she’s great on leash with a harness
• Belly rubs and soaking up attention

Annie is incredibly social with other dogs and would LOVE a playful companion her size and energy level. She can be vocal when she’s excited, especially during play—it’s all part of her fun-loving personality!

🏡 Her ideal home:
• Active family ready for a high-energy pup
• A secure fenced yard (5 ft minimum) for safe playtime
• Another medium to high-energy dog buddy
• Someone who enjoys outdoor activities like hiking or running

💛 A few things to know:
• Annie may be a little skittish at first and will need a few weeks to settle in
• She came from living on her own earlier this year, so patience and consistency will go a long way
• Treats, playtime, and love will help her build confidence quickly

🩺 Medical note:
Annie recently had eye surgery to correct her vision and is doing well! She will need:
• Daily eye drops
• Follow-up exams twice a year
