🚀 Volunteers Needed! 🚀

Officer Mosier could use a few helping hands this Thursday, October 16, and Friday, October 17, from 9–11 AM with Nexton Elementary's new Blast Off Bucks program!

Students have been earning “money” this year for showing kindness, following expectations, and setting a positive example — and now it’s time for them to go shopping! 🛒✨

Volunteers will roll a cart of goodies around to classrooms so students can spend their hard-earned Blast Off Bucks.

🎉 Less than one week into our Buddy-a-Thon fundraiser, and we’ve already raised over $17,000! 👏👏👏

Don’t forget — sending out 10 emails earns your child a small prize! Just be sure to return the slip at the bottom of the flyer to confirm.

🎉 Nexton Elementary Families—our Buddy-a-Thon Fundraiser kicks off October 1! 🎉

Your Explorer can earn awesome prizes, including their very own 8” or 16” “buddy” (over 20 to choose from, plus outfits!).

👉 How it works:
1️⃣ Register here: https://www.themegablast.com/join/Nexton
2️⃣ Send 10 ready-to-go emails to friends & family asking for donations.
3️⃣ Return the signed slip at the bottom of the flyer (going home Oct. 1) to confirm the emails were sent.

That’s it! Students earn prizes just for completing these steps—even if no donations come in. 🙌

The fundraiser runs October 1–22 and will wrap up with a Stuffed Animal + Movie Day in November. 🐻🎬

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Grits with Grands this morning!

Events like this are such a success because of our amazing families, staff, volunteers, and local businesses.
Poogan’s Southern Kitchen - Nexton generously donated breakfast, and we enjoyed coffee from Coastal Franchising, LLC (Dunkin Donuts Nexton) and Summit Coffee Nexton. Our gorgeous photo backdrop was made by Palmetto Popup!

We are so grateful for your support in making memories at Nexton Elementary so special! 💚

All orders will head home in backpacks on Monday, October 6. Be sure to do a backpack check that evening🎒👀 and give a heads-up to Monday night caregivers so your new gear doesn’t get lost!
