Closet of Hope is a place where Foster,kinship, and adoptive families can come to find clothing, shoes, toiletries, and other items that they may need.

All items are free to these families for children in their care. Like our page for more info.

💙 COME JOIN THE CLOSET OF HOPE TEAM! 💙

This is just part of our amazing Closet of Hope team—we’re missing a few! But as we continue to grow, so does our need for people who want to serve alongside us.

There are so many different ways to be part of Closet of Hope, and you don’t have to fit into one specific volunteer role. We have opportunities with:

❤️ Next Step Program — supporting teens in foster care and helping prepare and support them as they take their next steps into adulthood.

🥫 Food Pantry — helping organize, stock, prepare, and serve families through our pantry.

👕 Clothing Department — sorting, separating, organizing, and helping keep our clothing areas ready for the children and families we serve.

🎉 Events — helping with special events, community outreach, donation drives, and other projects throughout the year.

💰 Fundraising — helping us create fundraisers, connect with community partners, secure sponsorships, and raise the funds needed to continue our mission.

And there are plenty of other ways to use the skills and talents you already have!

You do not have to commit every week to make a difference. If you can give us one day a week, one day a month, help with certain events, or simply jump in when you’re available—we would love to have you.

If you’ve been looking for somewhere to serve and have a heart for local children and teens in care, we would love for you to become part of our village. 💙

🚨 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS WEEKEND! 🚨

Closet of Hope has a special project happening this weekend, and we need some extra helping hands! 💚

📍 315 A Industrial Road, Summerville, SC
⏰ 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM
👟 Please wear closed-toe shoes.

We have several different projects going on, so we’re looking for volunteers with all different skill levels and abilities. Whether you’re handy with tools, good at building or painting, great at organizing, able to lift and move things, or simply willing to jump in wherever you’re needed—we can use your help!

You do not have to be a professional. There will be something for everyone to help with. 💚

We wanted to share something a little more personal with our COH family. ❤️

Closet of Hope has always been about people — and, most importantly, the children we serve.

Our team is personally invested in this mission. We are foster parents. We are adoptive parents. We have walked through the uncertainty, the hard days, the waiting, the court dates, the celebrations, and all of the moments in between.

We don’t just talk about walking alongside children and families. We do it.

And over the years, so many of you have become part of that journey with us. You may follow us here, volunteer with us, donate, support our events, share our posts, or simply cheer us on from the sidelines. We may not talk every day, but so many of you have become friends — people we genuinely care about and are personally invested in.

So we wanted to share one of our own milestones with you.

Last week, Alyssa’s adoption was officially finalized. ❤️

It’s a moment our team has been waiting and hoping for, and getting to celebrate it together was incredibly special.

We know what it means when a child gets to know they have a family forever. We know how much that word — forever — can mean.

And while we spend our days working to make sure every child impacted by foster care feels seen, valued, supported, and loved, last week we got to celebrate that feeling in our own COH family.

So today, we’re just celebrating.

A family becoming official. A child knowing he is home. And a team of people who understand just how special that is. ❤️

Thank you for being part of the Closet of Hope family and for walking alongside us as we continue walking alongside the children and families we serve.

✨ SOFT LAUNCH: HOPE IN EVERY ROOM ✨
A Closet of Hope Program 🏠💚

We are so excited to quietly introduce something new we’ve been working on — Hope in Every Room.

The idea behind this program is simple: If you need it and we’ve got it, it’s yours. FREE. ❤️

This program is for our foster, kinship, and adoptive families, as well as teens and young adults aging out of foster care who are starting out on their own.

Moving into your first apartment with nothing? We’ve got you.
Kinship family who unexpectedly welcomed children into your home and funds are tight? We’ve got you.
Foster or adoptive family who needs a dresser, table, couch, household items, or something else to make your house function a little better? If we have it, it’s yours.

Because sometimes it’s not just clothes that a family needs. Sometimes it’s a bed. A kitchen table. A dresser. Pots and pans. A couch. The little things that turn an empty space into a place that feels like home. 🏠

For now, we’re starting small. We will be creating an album right here on this page with available items. If you see something your family needs, simply let us know!

And this is where our community comes in, too. ❤️ As we grow Hope in Every Room, we’ll be looking for gently used furniture and household items that you may no longer need. Something sitting unused in your home could be exactly what another family needs.

As always, there is no cost to the families we serve.

This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to see where it goes.

Because at Closet of Hope, we believe hope shouldn’t stop at the closet.

There should be Hope in Every Room. 💚🏠 Just message us and someone will reach out, right now this will be limited to one visit per month.

🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨

We're thinking about hosting **Closet of Hope's FIRST-EVER Charity Golf Tournament!** ⛳💙

This is something we've wanted to do for a while, and we're excited about the possibility of creating a fun event that brings our community together while raising funds to support children and families impacted by foster care.

But we can't do it alone!

We're looking for:
🏌️ Volunteers to help us plan and organize the event
🤝 Business sponsors who want to make a difference in the lives of local foster families
🎁 Prize and raffle item donations
📣 Community members who want to help make this event a success
